40 dollar pizza though... ugh, I'll pass regardless of how good it is

The pizza may be expensive, but I think the way to look at it is how that breaks down per person (this is the usual argument I give). The mezzo metro pizza is $39 before toppings, but it also should have no problem feeding 4 adults. Break that down per person and you are only looking at $10 a plate. If you need more food then you can get an appetizer or dessert and still only be at about $15 a person for your food. I can't think of many other sit down places in WDW (especially Epcot) that can give me a good table serve meal for that price.

I am in the same school as you. I don't find it to be any great thrill. (or decent steak for that matter)

I have not read all the comments yet...But we feel the way as the first 2 posters. We do not care for the meals here. THe best thing to come out is the pretzel bread. I eat my steak med-rare and what I got was a streak that was cook right in the middle but BURNT on the outside. Very hard to get past the burnt taste to eat the part that is cooked correctly. For 2 credits on the dining plan I should not have go do that. Move the steak to less hot spot on the grill as not to burn it. Our waiter was terrible and I feel the wait staff can make or break your meals. We will not be going back in December. For a good steak we will be heading back to the Yachtsman for the porterhouse.

Where did you get this Pizza. It's got to be bigger than 16 inches?

One of the Delaware pizza chains, Grotto's had them before. It was called the super, 36 inches. It was hard to get it ordered, needed 24 hour notice. Also the person on the phone tried to get me to just order 3 large pizzas instead. I can't seem to find any mention of the pizza on their site now and the picture was someone that ordered the same size pizza in ny.

Don't they offer deep fried pizza in scotland?

DH & I have eaten at Le Cellier once. While it was a good meal & nice experience, I kind of doubt we will do it again. We only live about 2 hours from WDW and will decide to drive down for a quick weekend trip a week or so ahead of time. It's almost impossible to get a reservation here on that kind of notice. (We don't usually make ADR's unless it's a special occasion - we just try our luck walking in.)

The one time we ate at Le Cellier, we knew we were going 3 months ahead of time as the trip was for DH's birthday. The server was excellent. DH had a birthday message on his dessert & got a signed card from all of the servers in the restaurant. We both had steaks & they were cooked correctly & were very tasty. Was it the best steak I ever had - no; but it was good. Price for what we got didn't seem out of line given that it was a table service place in EPCOT. The only real reason DH is remotely interested in going back is that they now have poutine on the menu.

I am headed there in July for my honeymoon... and I have mixed emotions, it will be the first trip for myself to Le Cellier and reviews are mixed.

More so than reviews, I am worried about my expectations...

I certainly don't mind spending money on a prime piece of beef, as we frequent Smith and Wollensky's here in Boston and that is my biggest fear. I just fear spending 100+ dollars on a crappy meal.

I'm a fellow Bostonian, and I'm telling you right now DO NOT expect Le Cellier to come anywhere near S&W's. I frequent S&W's here in Boston (especially their new location which is phenomenal) and that is true prime beef. Le Cellier's beef is closer to choice grade. Don't get me wrong, you will enjoy it just fine, very tasty and they do a decent job, but do not expect it to be the quality of S&W's. For similar S&W style beef, Shula's is really the only option. In any case, enjoy!

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!
As someone who will be masking 3 ADR's for Le Cellier in 10 Days I'd say stay away you won't like it...... :lookaroun:ROFLOL:

Travel down to Philly and go to Fogo de Chão.

that's what I expected.. I am one block from their new location (my office, I wish I lived here!) oh well, the atmosphere and what not will make up for it.

I'm in Disney... have to lower my standards

oh, and poutine!

I have never had the poutine there, but hear tell it is sub-par. They are not using the cheese curds apparently, but instead some other cheese like substance.

It's a short trip up to Manchester NH for you to go grab some local poutine. :D

Pretzels bread sticks, and do you really need any more of a reason?

Honestly, I need a LOT more of a reason. I fail to see the appeal of what amounts to being served a soft pretzel.

I like them and all, but it is just a soft pretzel. And a frozen one that is shipped in bulk and baked on site to boot.

Give me some good bread with flavor and character that a baker make local that day and Ill be much more impressed.

I've pretty much just written Le Cellier off. It is not good enough to justify the hassle that goes with it. Getting a res is difficult, it tends to be crowded, and does not have the best ambience.

I've had better WDW steaks at Il Mullino, Yachtsman, Cal Grill.

Been to LeCellier a few times. The soup and pretzel bread is great, the atmosphere is nice although the the dining room is kind of small. The steak is good, but I would not call it great. I am from the Boston area also and it does not compare with the high end steak places we have up here even though it is priced like those places.

For being in a park I think it is quite good, but I guess it depends on what you are comparing it too.

i agree with other posters that the soup is good but i think the quality of the steaks has gone down hill. i like shula's and yachtman's better for steak.

DH & I have been there quite a few times. We love the soup and the bread. The steaks are good but prob better at Yachtsmen or Artist Point.

We went with a large group (15ppl) last time we went. Not everyone had a great time and the kids were miserable because our meal from arriving/departing was almost 2 hours. Not cool for little kids so we haven't been back in years. We do plan to give it a try for lunch when we go in August hoping that lunch is a btter fit for the kids

If you've never tried it, give it a shot. If you enjoy it, you'll know what you've been missing. And if you don't, there wouldn't be any difference.....

From what I have read most people think Le Cellier is to die for. Count us among the minority. We've eaten there twice over the years and I just don't think it is that great. I'd much rather go to restaurants in Germany, France, Morocco or even UK because they are a little more out of the ordinary.
