Hi all,
I have several 25 anniversary Disney/McDonald glasses and would like to find out more about them. Do people collect them?

I have both the 25th Anniversary sets (actually 2 sets) and the Millinium Collection. I thought they were neat (and cheap) collectors items AND they are great size glasses for simply enjoying your beverage of choice.

There are 4 in each set: in the 25th Anniversary Set there is one for Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM, and then one for Typhoon Lagoon/Blizzard Beach.
The Millenium set has one for MK, Epcot, MGM, and AK.

Have them all, use them pretty rarely. We'll probably start using them now that the kids are old enough for real glass...

yea at one point we had all those glasses too, I think there were 4 of them.. It was a really nice collectors item we could get from mcdonalds.. ironically I have no idea where those glasses are, but we still have the cheap plastic ones burger king released with the pictures from the old vhs tapes...I still use them all the time, they're the perfect size for a drink..

sigh I wish mcdonalds/bk still sold disney stuff.. Yes I know their food is some of the unhealthiest around, but their disney toys/memorabilia were really cool.

I don't have any glasses from the 25th anniversary, but I must have about 10 other Disney glasses from McDonal's. They're my favorite cups to use

Hi everyone,

Thanks for answering my inquiry. I found the glasses when cleaning up my aunt's apartment. I'm going to keep some and give some to my little cousins who love Disney!:animwink:

Most McDonalds/Disney stuff does appeal to collectors. However, a vast majority of it has minimal value. Maybe a few bucks. Only the really old or rare stuff has any value, otherwise its about what you would expect to pay for it at a thrift shop. The newer stuff, unless it is mint, still in package, never used etc can easily be found is large amounts. Even the toy displays (1 per location instead of thousands per location) usually only get 20-30 bucks. Use it as a functional object and enjoy it as is.

I have both sets from McDonalds, and the 8 piece set from Burger King. These are the only glasses me and my DH use, along with his Pizza Planet cups, and our mugs from our trips. I wish they would come out with new glasses to add to my collection.

how were they originally obtained? Did people just buy them from McDonalds or were they won? how did that work? or are they just sponsored by McDonalds but sold by disney?

In ye old days, 90s. Macdonalds was trusted to just sell glass cups and hand them right over the counter or drive thru
I like the Flintstones ones a lot. Batman had a couple cool ones..

Here's your answer...

Back in the days when it was easier to obtain something at your local restaurant..Nowadays vloggers, tiktokers and anyone who posts on the net wipe out the stores just to say they got them all..Similar to the WDW 50th anniversary figurine set. Your hoping to get one but, you get a Runaway Railway leftover toy from the previous set..

We have several shops in our area that buy estates or entire contents of homes when a family member gets a house willed to them from a deceased parent and they just want to sell everything. Or someone is downsizing to move to a smaller home and they are cleaning out their home of things they no longer value. I go through the shops and its often that I find something Disney to buy. Those McD's glasses show up quite frequently on the shelves and sell for less than $10.
If you are looking to get some of these glasses, they can still be found.

Those glasses are great, i have millennium and 25th. The round ones are my favorite looking ones but I can’t count how many times the square ones have been dropped, those ones are the best. This brings me back, I’ll never forget how McDonald’s embraced their celebrations and kind of bought them close to home.
