21/25 Trip

I'm currently in the process of planning our 2nd trip to the world in September (2009) to celebrate both my 21st birthday and my parent's silver wedding anniversary.

We're staying at Caribbean Beach Resort arriving on the 16th and leaving on 30th. Managed to get the majority of our ADR's booked today a nice mixture of restaurants we went to on our last visit and ones we haven't done before, so I'm excited and hyped for the trip now.

Managed to get the following...

17th - DHS - 50's Prime Time - 4:05pm
18th - EPCOT - Tutto Italia - 3:15pm
19th - MK - Liberty Tree Tavern - 4:10pm
20th - MK - Crystal Palace - 2:10pm
21st - TL/BB - Probably somewhere in Downtown Disney, any suggestions?
22nd - DHS - Sci-Fi Dine In - 2:20pm
23rd - AK - Yak & Yeti - 2:00pm
24th - Boardwalk restaurant maybe?
25th - EPCOT - The Garden Grill - 5:35pm
26th - Haven't decided yet.
27th - MK - (My birthday) Tony's - 1:20pm
28th - AK - May go Boardwalk again.
29th - EPCOT - (Parent's anniversary) Nine Dragons - 5:00pm

Does anyone have any other suggestions that we could do to help celebrate the two big occasions? We're planning on getting the badges and the gift card on my birthday, just wondering if there's anything else we should be doing?

Thanks. :)

DTD I can recommend - Raglan Road, and on the Boardwalk - The Flying Fish Cafe (2TS if you have the DDP) - nice for a 'special' meal. Also over from the Boardwalk the restaurants at both the Yacht and Beach clubs are well worth visiting. For the Anniversary you could order a cake as a surprise for your parents, but I don't know if the Chinese restaurant does them. Did you tell them when you made ADRs that you are celebrating those 2 occasions - if so they will probably do something like a special dessert.

Only 28 days to go and I'm getting excited now!

Thinking of maybe going either Big River Grille or Kouzzina for one of the spare days where we currently have no ADR's.

Well since you are turning 21, U should go to Atlantic Dance Hall at Boardwalk. Its a club, (a low beat kinda club). There are so many different age groups so your parents will like it also. They play all kinds of music.

Thanks for all the suggestions, keep em coming!
We are going to be on the Dining Plan though so would be looking for places that are on there. Last time we went and had a meal in DTD we went to Planet Hollywood, but don't particularly want to visit there again after long waits and not that brilliant service.

I was thinking possibly Wolfgang Puck's Cafe, anyone know what it's like there?

I've always enjoyed WP Cafe, I have been a number of times and never a bad meal. Mediocre service one time out of ten.

My favorite meals I've had at Disney have been at Citricos and California Grill.
Citricos is pretty easy to get reservations to, California Grill you might not be able to get anything at this point, but it doesnt hurt to try!
I enjoyed Portobello's in Downtown Disney as well.
If you want a place at the Boardwalk, I would try Kouzzina...I haven't been yet, but the menu looks fabulous! If you eat there, you should report back on how it was!

California Grill is amazing and if you can get a late enough time you can watch the fireworks from Wishes from the restaurant or the observation deck. Food is great, although a bit pricey. Enjoy!!:)

We went there in 12/07 and really enjoyed it! Food was great and very filling. A bit pricy but we were on the dining plan so we had a blast ordering and not worrying about the price.
