Have heard form undisclosed source, a new repalcement rumor.
Princess's paradise. a meet and great area for all pricesses witha full gift shop and ara where children could make crowns and tiars etc. This we feel is a true waste of land. i hope this isnt true, but from where info came from it might be.

so what they are doing is now making money on something that was pretty much already there (the Ariel's Grotto thingy) by just adding a store and completely wasting space for what could of been a great ride in the future

ugh, hope that is not true... was hoping for a new, unique and inspired attraction for the magic kingdom... i hate when disney pawns off it's shops as 'attractions'... do they consider shopping malls theme parks then!?!

hopefully this isn't true, as that area is some prime real-estate.

as long as they include the villans. lol. kidding. Waste of land, open up that sword shop in the castle, that you can't buy anything at, or you have to have it shipped out. Make that your meet and greet, gives us an E-ticket, or a D-ticket at least!

I thought their intention was to fill in the lagoon and replace it with a larger character meet and greet/shop for the present, but then develop it into a major E-ticket ride in the future???

Even if this is true, I'm pretty sick of new shops... and another character meet and greet doesn't make my trips down any more exciting... atleast give me something exciting to look forward to

From what I hear, it will be some sort of thrill attraction after a garden/meet and greet area is installed in the near future.

I honestly can't comment till I see the final attraction. I have my gut vibes (i.e. knowing that the management that wanted to shut down CoP/stage/old skyway for a giant gift shop and small attraction may be managing this project), but until I hear the plan, I can't really decide. *hopes for Poppins*

The meet and greet is only temporary for a few years. This is definitely a likely choice though (although I think Disney overdoes the princess stuff...).

I thought Disney was going to put in a temporary replacement for just a while before they add a new ride of sorts. Plus guys, don't get worked up, we have heared nothing relyable that states we are going to get an e-ticket there.

Correct. The fact that a meet n greet is going there for a time is nothing new.

We already knew it was going to be a Meet and Greet before they put a ride in, so no big deal.

The Princess line is a huge moeny maker for Disney, it would be stupid for them not to cater to that market as guests are always asking for more chances to meet the characters. If anything, this will help allievate some of the congestion of people in the walkways and maybe get the whole universe or at least a portion of it off the Peter Pan and Pooh lines

A Meet n Greet does nothing for me personally, but if it is themed well, it will make Fantasyland feel more alive (in terms of theming) & better than the makeshift Ariel's Grotto and old 20K line.

I'm more than content for the time being with Philharmagic and Stitch as new attractions at MK until there are final plans for the 20K area.

I think that we are going to be getting a lot more out of this space than we all think. I feel it will be come a bridge to new and exciting ideas!

The only problem with the Princess stuff for lack of a better word to call it, is that it caters to girls. I have boys and although they have all the movies, they could care less about meeting a princess. They are out of the meet & greet age now anyways, but they still like finding Stitch, Pluto, Grumpy, Dopey & Sully (Mike too). I know that from a financial standpoint, the princesses are the money maker. But really let's not be so gender biased in that area and pray they have some characters for the boys.

Earth To Eisner...Shops are not gonna make people come to the parks. You need rides!

I don`t think Eisner can hear you Grl... he is too far out there... another universe by the looks of it.

Yes, we did know of the `short term`plans, but Rocket Rods and both parks Subs were closed for `short term` too. And hey - they have had TEN years to come up with a replacement for the 20K site.

Amen to that! I'm a guy and I would hate to have Fantasyland double in size if I won't go to the other half. The space that the visible lagoon took up should be dedicated to Princesses and the space the showbuilding took up should be dedicated to heros or something. Girls can personalize Crowns and boys can personalize swords or something likt that maybe. I dunno.

Is so glad I wasn't the only one thinking this. They could at least use Kings over there and they could decorate King crowns. Trying to think of all the kings they could use. Or thinking of kingish sorts. King Titan is the first to pop into my head. Couldn't they use Hercules or things like that as well?

So wait a minute, let me get this straight. It took Eisner ten years to come up with a temporary gift shop for one of the best pieces of real estate in the MK? I think a 6 year old could run the place better

The Heroes also had a big line of toys and such. The only problem was that the boys weren't interested. The Princesses had a much more successful run then the Heroes. It would make more sense to make a Princesses land with no Heroes than a Princesses and Hero land!
