I agree--it'll have long lines for awhile (when it is the only new thing at WDW). But it won't always be the newest thing at WDW and I think it will end up overshadowed with short lines after a few years. It's no Haunted Mansion but it does have a similar hourly capacity, so once it is no longer new, I would expect shorter lines than the HM has--10-15 minutes at most for much of the year.
The Mine Ride, on the other hand, has a novelty (it's arguably a unique coaster that is also kid friendly) that should maintain popularity long-term.
My question is, what tribute to WOM will exist when TT 2.0 opens in the winter? I really hope that the initial idea for WOM will come to fruition in this redo... In the last 30 years, the transportation pavilion has seen the original idea completed through 2 different ride systems.. now they need to bring it all together in this 2.0 redo. Original idea included a slow AA type ride with a fast outside track.I'm so glad you posted that because I've told people that before and was argued with.
The line for Mermaid at DCA is routinely walk on. Yes, the animatronics are great but for some reason, this was a one and done for me. Hopefully the lines are long so it takes people away from other good stuff in the park.
