I agree--it'll have long lines for awhile (when it is the only new thing at WDW). But it won't always be the newest thing at WDW and I think it will end up overshadowed with short lines after a few years. It's no Haunted Mansion but it does have a similar hourly capacity, so once it is no longer new, I would expect shorter lines than the HM has--10-15 minutes at most for much of the year.
The Mine Ride, on the other hand, has a novelty (it's arguably a unique coaster that is also kid friendly) that should maintain popularity long-term.
My question is, what tribute to WOM will exist when TT 2.0 opens in the winter? I really hope that the initial idea for WOM will come to fruition in this redo... In the last 30 years, the transportation pavilion has seen the original idea completed through 2 different ride systems.. now they need to bring it all together in this 2.0 redo. Original idea included a slow AA type ride with a fast outside track.I'm so glad you posted that because I've told people that before and was argued with.![]()
The line for Mermaid at DCA is routinely walk on. Yes, the animatronics are great but for some reason, this was a one and done for me. Hopefully the lines are long so it takes people away from other good stuff in the park.![]()
