We are at Narcoossee’s tonight. As a bonus, you can keep your stub, show it at the checkin and they let you stand on their deck to watch the fireworks, which were excellent by the way.

Unfortunately, right when the fireworks were going to start, some older guy thought some other guy was taking his spot along the railing. So of course, he felt the best thing to do was to punch the guy in the face. Then there was much yelling and posturing.

Ultimately, the older guy was escorted out but then came back near the end of the fireworks. When it ended, we walked out of Narcoossee’s and noticed the man that got hit giving a statement to security and a sheriff was on route.

Hello!

Anyone have recommendations on best spots around Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake to watch 4th fireworks?

I know Polynesian beach only for resort guests for holiday and they enforce it. I heard TTC dock a great spot? What else?

Time for my bi-annual complaint: DJs and their trap (sounding) music don't belong in Magic Kingdom.
Agreed. I can tolerate it on New Year’s Eve cause it’s late at night and all but that’s it.

While it’s always subject to change, the far right beach at poly, closest to TTC is usually open. the view there is not as good as it used to be with the new ferry dock, but still decent.

My favorite spots lately are at Grand Floridian, although look out for the old punching man if you go there! Haha

Okay cool! So the beach in front of Moorea longhouse might be open.

And yes definitely don’t want to get punched haha. How were the 360 fireworks from there? They still light them around the lagoon for holiday?

Also @TrainsOfDisney what quick service restaurants before fireworks would you recommend? Thinking of doing one at Grand, Captain Cook’s, Roaring Fork at WL or Trail’s End.

The BBQ at fort and WL looks pretty good but wondering your opinion. I’m just a 23 year old guy by myself cause of business so quick service what I’m doing 😂

Yeah I get that! I’ve been at the parks when in the area for business as well.

The counter service at Grand Floridian is pretty good - Captain Cooks gets crazy crowded in my experience.

If you go over to the Fort, the Bar connected to the counter service has a menu - I ate lunch there once after getting stuck in a storm and it was quite good.

Yes! I love seeing the 360 shows from the Grand - I would recommend the boat dock - it can get a little crowded but if you are by yourself you should be fine.

Okay perfect!

I’m thinking dinner at the fort, then take boat to grand Floridian and watch from dock. Sounds like better view than the poly beach all the way to the right!

Maybe I’ll go crazy and go to Polynesian after fireworks. lol

Interesting, so they're gonna use the Luminous barges for pyro? During Harmonious's run, they were not used besides for fountains and lights and only used the WW3 barges.

Or was it just stock footage of him loading pyro/preparing for Luminous.

Also at the end, those pre-loaded tubes that slide right on are so cool. Must make preparing for the show much more faster once on the barges.

Unless they are brought out later in the day, the WW3 barges are not out. All of the normal Luminous barges are currently out.

May be a scenario where tech testing has been happening, and they’ll bring out the barge later on. I love Luminous, but I hope they didn’t use it as an excuse to downgrade the firepower of the tag.
Just because they're using Luminous doesn't necessarily mean it will be downgraded. It's very possible they built Luminous with the capabilities to do the full July 4th and NYE shows. They maybe just didn't use them for NYE cause they didn't have enough time to program it, but now they do. It's only a matter of time till we find out now. No matter what happens I just hope Heartbeat of Freedom isn't downgraded in any way.

For sure, I don’t think that there will be a downgrade in tech. I just don’t know if there’s physically enough space on those barges to hold all the pyro for Luminous and then have enough for the pyrotechnic overload that THOF is known and loved to be. I’m of the belief that they will bring out that barge later, and add it to the existing barges. It has been pointed out on the Luminous thread that it appears that there is more space for pyro on the barges, I’m just hoping the WWIII barge can take the finale to keep it as crazy as it has always been.
