Why does the Luca float look like a Disney float but everything else looks cheap af
Yeah, it seems like they're cheap reskins of their base Soundsational/cavalcade floats they keep reusing. It's a shame Turning Red and Soul aren't getting more original designs either since there's so much rich visuals a float inspired by them could pull from. If they'd invested a bit more into the Turning Red float to highlight the transformation, it could even fit into Magic Happens after Pixar Fest ends.

Full blog post of all the offerings.

I'm fairly interested in the food festival they're tacking on to Pixar Fest, the concepts for the booths that are sticking around are at least a little clever. And I think it's smart that they're highlighting movies that otherwise aren't represented in the parks (as someone who loved Luca, I'm glad it's getting a bit of a spotlight).

Club Pixar feels like it could be kind of fun in the same way Freeze the Night kind of was.

disneyland really will put anything in the fantasyland theatre except mickey and the magical map
MATMM was honestly due for retirement.

That's not to say that the style of MATMM is bad, but that it has been surpassed by similar shows elsewhere. Mickey and the Magician (WDS) and Mickey & the Wondrous Book (HKDL), among others, are often considered to be better variations on the same concept. Of the ones I've seen in person, I definitely preferred Wondrous Book to Magical Map by quite a bit.

The crowd size in the concept art is spot on. Kudos to the artist!

Yikes.

Or maybe I'm wrong and people will come from miles around for the watermelon photo op.

I love how the kid in yellow in the bottom right is dabbing. Do the kids even still do that?

Pixar Fest:

This looks cheap and weird.

It's like an Antiques Roadshow version of every minor parade and street party they've done for the past 15 years.

At least we know they never throw those small parade floats away. Apparently they keep them for years and years, just for this purpose. But seriously, this is embarrassing. Why are they doing this? For what audience? Did I already ask... WHY?

I’m just grateful Disneyland Resort is putting out temporary entertainment on a bigger scale, for a summer marketing event.

I hope the quality is better than the concept art seems, and that the parade is fun and full of charm, but I really can’t complain when Walt Disney World gets… crickets.

I'm just afraid that if your benchmark for theme park entertainment is WDW's "nothing", your expectations are already too low.

I can’t really assess it until I witness it all this summer, at my first visit back since 2011. I’m mostly just excited that there will be so much added entertainment going on during my visit, given the ride closures in the corner of Disneyland.

Two parades running? A win.

Disney World's daytime parade at Magic Kingdom is a million times better than any of the two daytime parades you'll see at Disneyland during this summer.

It's imaginative, lots of movement, well themed impressive floats with all the favorite Disney characters and has a fire breathing dragon.

These are small unimpressive temp parade floats that get rethemed every once in a while to promote something. At one point 15 years ago it was a High School Musical dance party for example.
