Why can’t Georgia beat Bama? No matter how Georgia plays?

Georgia dominates 1st Half & 3rd QTR
- 2017 CFP Championship dominated until late in 4q….Tua’s coming out party

- 2018 SEC Championship dominates until Tua injury; then Jalen becomes legendary

Bama Dominates early and holds thru 3q, Georgia takes lead and fizzles

Georgia has been the better team the last 1/2 dozen times they’ve played and just can’t beat Bama…..

The game before the Dawgs barely beat UK. Didn't think they had a chance against Bama.
They proved they had a chance......and folded

I could see them playing again, and a third time as well.

Could you imagine Georgia beating Bama in SEC Championship setting up a Rubber Game in the same building for the CFP Championship? Of course the Committee would have to Seed them on opposite sides of the Bracket.....

No way the Committee would Seed based on anything other than Merit of resume, right?

This game was the absolute highlight of why I think the playoff system is awful. Who cares who won? And if they play again in the SEC championship, it STILL won't matter who wins. I used to love how in college football every single game mattered. Now they matter less than any other sport.

Never saw that coming. Vandy upsets #1 Bama and first time they beat them since 1984.
Beat them badly too.....controlled the game

It seemed Bama just had to wear them down and take control in late 3rd QTR......Vandy wore Bama down as Bama's defense was gassed

Georgia could learn from this game plan

Then again, Bama would never lose again if they played Georgia every week......

In a just world, Bama is GONE now from contention. You lose to a .500 team and trail the ENTIRE game? See ya. There is no way they should be ahead of the undefeated teams floating out there right now, let alone some of the 1 loss teams (looking at you Notre Dame, A&M, Kansas State, and maybe even Illinois). Of course, not a just world in the least, so of course Bama is still sitting in a tourney spot, and probably will be even with another loss.

Bama DOESN’T look like a contender…that’s for sure. Even in beating Georgia, they were totally exposed…with that said…

Bama and Georgia both get in with two losses….

SEC shake-up at the Top is coming :

Remaining Games

Texas - Georgia, A&M and Okie
Bama - LSU, Okie, Tennessee
Georgia - Texas, Tennessee, Ole Miss
Tennessee- Bama, Georgia

And that doesn’t include Sleepers such as LSU, Ole Miss, A&M, Missouri….

Amazing that Vandy lost to Georgia State but beat #1 Bama at Vandy in front of a majority crowd of Bama fans.

Alabama had trouble with USF. They lost (and lost bad) to a .500 Vandy team. They ALMOST lost to a .500 South Carolina team. I'll say it again, this team should be at best around the 15-16 ranking.

Pretty simple….they just need to lose on the scoreboard twice more…..

Otherwise, the boogie man lives

At this point if Bama ever played Army or Navy both undefeated , the triple option offense would probably give them fits.

Which is why college football is ridiculous. What happens on the field is not directly linked to the standings at the end of the year. The BCS should have been tweaked to account for how dominant a team was so that there was a true measurement of teams.

So if Army and or Navy go undefeated will they go to the playoffs or end up in the Citrus or something else Bowl?

Compounding the issue you mentioned is now there’s 12 slots…..2 losses for Bama, Ohio State, Georgia and they’re all still in…..
