I just booked my 2021 trip. I was able to book a room at the Carribean Beach resort. :) They don't currently have any promos or anything going on yet, though, so if you're looking for a good deal it's probably better to wait.

What dates did you book?

What's the source of that information? January seems unreasonable considering you could book room only stays 499 days out previously.

By Previously, you mean prior to a World Pandemic?
Yes. It's beyond odd that they set such an arbitrary date of Sept 27, 2021. What is the reasoning of holding off beyond that? I'm just assuming they are avoiding an uproar over a huge price increase for the 50th.

They will not have huge price increases, you will start to see big discounts in my opinion s NO ONE is going to the parks, and if they shut down again, watch out

It isn’t an arbitrary date, the 50th falls on October 1st. Until things settle they won’t want a rush of bookings to be there at that time.

It's also just past the end of their fiscal year I believe.

What's the downside for Disney allowing reservations/bookings for Oct-Dec 2021 campsites? On the plus side they get to keep our deposit fee for over a year, get a good baseline for patronage intent for that quarter, etc. Don't see any economic reason for the delay in opening up reservations past 9/26/21.

The only downside that I can think of would be allowing guests to lock in rates and remove any flexibility Disney has to recoup current losses.

In past years, Discounts for rooms-only rates for dates between 1/1-April something became available to public late September or early October. I suggest checking for the discounts (for early next year stays) late September and if they don't show up, it may be in the following weeks. Here are when they became available in years past, hope this helps!
2020 discounts for 1/1/20-4/25/20 stays became available on 10/14/19
2019 discounts for 1/1/19-4/27/19 stays became available on 9/26/18
2018 discounts for 1/1/18-4/14/18 stays became available on 10/03/17

Also the UK offer has now been released.
Instead of the usual free dining it is up to four nights free.
Plus the usual offer 14 days for the price of 7, free memory maker and a $200 gift card.
Those are some good deals! I don't see any deals for state-side so far.
