If you have time the Victoria Gardens is well worth seeing. Can't wait for your pictures when you set sail

Victoria Gardens is breathtaking. Getting there by ferry is madly expensive!

@ZapperZ have the wildfires died down? Our last 2 days in Vancouver would’ve been lovely blue-sky days except for wildfires burning in North BC that created very hazy conditions due to all the smoke. At least we got to see the area in all its glory before our cruise. Haze didn’t ruin our visit, of course, we still enjoyed our Vancouver activities.Hope skies are clear for you. You’ll get some wonderful photos at Capilano, can’t wait to see what your lens will capture!

There is still a bit of wild fires left, from what I’ve been told

Not sure if we'll have the chance to see it. Tomorrow we plan on spending most of the day at the Granville Public Market, and then turning in early to repack some of the stuff we took out of our luggage.

We are back at our hotel after a quick dinner. I think all of us are tired after a long day at Capilano park, but it was well worth it. We then spent part of the afternoon looking around Canada Place and watching a couple of cruise ships being loaded. The Wonder will be here Monday morning!

Canada Place is a pretty cool area to stroll around. We had trouble deciding where to eat lunch, but settled on the Irish pub (what a surprise!!)

Glad you enjoyed Capilano. We had a great day there.

Good morning!

Another lovely morning here in Vancouver.

I woke up this morning to find that my cruise navigator is now counting the hours till our cruise. After more than a year of counting days, we are finally down to hours!!!

Oh yeah, I can’t wait.

But we still have a day here, and we will go out and see more of this beautiful city.

Looks like perfect clear blue skies, OMG those waffles look so good. What has the temp been; looks like I see people in shorts.

Temp has been in the high 60s, but it has been pleasant enough that we’ve been wearing shorts and T-shirts all the time. It gets a bit chilly in the evening, but we’re from Chicago. This chill is nothing! :)

We are back in our room after a quick dinner. Packing things back into our luggage and trying to fit everything else into the carry-on. The rest of our party have arrived safely today and will meet us at the port tomorrow morning.

The fun is about to begin!

Our cruise day is finally here!!

After more than a year of planning, the day has arrived!

It’s only 6 am here but I’m showered and dressed and packed! Can’t you tell how excited I am?

Donald is excited as well and can’t wait to get on the water. He’s examining the lanyard that I assembled just for the cruise. It is full of DCL pins that I’m going to wear at the port. But Donald thinks that he should be the one wearing it. I don’t think so. We may have a fight on this and feathers may fly!

We will be off to get breakfast and then catch a cab to Canada place to meet up with our group.

It’s finally here!!

I was so ecstatic to see this trip report!! DCL reports are few and far between, but IMHO the most relaxing Disney vacation out there! And what a wonderful way to start your trip touring around BC. And those waffles …. Ummmmmmmm!

I can only dream of doing an Alaskan cruise as the expense is so far out of my family of four budget at the moment -- but I get to live vicariously through you! I cannot to hear/see more of your Alaskan exploits!!
