2016 Lawsuits against Disney

Well shoot, my room at Coronado Springs was not ready for several hours after I arrived two weeks ago. So much so that I flat out just asked the front desk if ANY rooms had been cleaned in the last 4 hours I had been at the resort since check-in.

Time to lawyer up. Now where's my millions of dollars??

I worked at a place that was sued by a lady who admitted she had been drinking and snorting coke for 4-6 hours before she enter our restaurant. She fell down our stairs, our fault of course. Basically waiters with heavy trays making the upstairs run didn't stop to help her. That's what she was mad about. Sorry a waiter works for tips and upstairs already took a long time to get to, slow service, bad tip. Someone else had to help the drunk stoned lady that worked on an hourly basis. Which is what happened but that wasn't quick enough for her, she needed everyone to make a big scene right there and now. Common in the restaurant world. It's just food people stop getting so out of hand.

Let the flames begin on how I'm evil but you should go work in a hotel or restaurant, you would quit in a week.

To be honest I have friends in the restaurant business, I don't know why anyone would either start one or work at one it's the closest experience people can have to being a roman galley slave...

The reasons people are suing for these things are ridiculous, in my honest opinion. I mean, slipping at the topping bar? Someone dying because their son was bit by a snake? These people need to realize that their decisions are stupid.

This one intrigues me. I work as an insurance claims handler in the UK, and where a theft occurs we normally advise that there is no prospect of recovery as there is no identified negligent party so it affects the no claims bonus. We certainly wouldn't waste money on solicitors chasing a hotel or other car park operator for negligence!

Are you going to update these with the judgements as and when they are made?

Yeah, after a few months. Also if you click on the case number, it takes you to the page where all the documents are.

It should be the talking Mickey Magician but instead of what he usually asks you he should be on constant (turns on Mickey Voiceplay)

That doesn't happen with big companies, the companies simply have a lawyer(s) on staff who handles law suits. He gets paid his salary to defend the company period. Court costs etc aren't much of anything. That's one of the misconception about suing a company and walking away with money because the company doesn't want to pay the lawyer bills. Just not true, they are big boys who have their own lawyers, just a cost of doing business.

There are court costs, deposition fees, et all. It just not just about paying the on-staff lawyer. And if, (big if) Disney feels the case has any merit, they will offer something in lieu of letting a jury determine the amount. Just sayin..
