• Mickey’s Halloween Party 2014 dates: Friday, September 26; Tuesday, September 30; Friday, October 3; Monday, October 6, Wednesday, October 8; Friday, October 10; Tuesday, October 14; Friday, October 17; Monday, October 20; Wednesday, October 22; Friday, October 24; Monday, October 27; Wednesday, October 29; and Friday, October 31.

Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy will be returning.

Urgh just my luck. I will probably leave Disneyland just on Wednesday 24th....

But I'm happy that I'm going to experience still Halloween Deco there

I might have to sit out this year. It's so much fun and I hope my finances allow me to go. Has anyone done the WDW Halloween party and is so, how do they compare? I have only done Disneyland's and was curious about the differences and similarities. Is one better?

They are comparable, but I think the Magic Kingdom has the upper hand. WDW has a very elaborate Halloween Parade whereas Disneyland still has not much more than a smallish "cavalcade".

The party moved to Disneyland in I think maybe 2010, it's time for a full parade or at least expand the cavalcade.

I do however enjoy Disneyland's version of the Halloween fireworks more with the Jack Skellington orb and Zero flying over the castle. That's probably what I look forward to the most each time I go the party!

So the Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy will be opening September 12, which is also Dapper Day. I'm guessing we should expect some crowds that day then. Do they ever do soft openings for the holiday overlays, say on Thursday night? Our last day of the parks is the 12th so I just want to be prepared!
