Honestly we waited 10 minutes for the Chip Woks, and 15 minutes for Vader ... the longest lines I saw were for Minnie with R2-MK, and Chewbacca ... I think it all depended on when you hit them, the Darth Mall Merchandise line was 3 hours at rope drop, but at about 3pm, it took me a half hour to get inside.

We hit the mall late Sunday morning. No line at all.

Quick question for those that attended the first weekend. Last year was the first year that they did 8:00 AM openings for everyone and we found that they were actually opening even earlier than that, typically around 7:45. I wanted to find out if they were doing the same thing this year or if they are waiting until 8 to drop the ropes?

They opened up the turnstiles at about 7:45 ish ... and started taking the merchandise crowd back as early as 7:30 from what I could see. They did however hold you with the two stormtroopers on pedestals at the intersection by Keystone Clothiers where is forks off to Hollywood and Vine and Prime Time. They then let us pass at 8am pretty much on the nose.

Thanks. Last year they flat out opened the park early. On one particular day we were on TSM about 7:45.

We are driving down Sunday morning and I am wondering how close we can cut it. I have to get to my resort and check in to get my parking pass before heading to the parks and those minutes tick away oh so fast. I am sure the wife will be posting pictures of my "stress vein" to Facebook by about 6:30.:)

Random question for anyone that went last weekend, or is going a future weekend. Is there a list anywhere of the SW background music loops they play? One loop got stuck in my head last weekend, and it drove me crazy because I couldn't place it. I'm guessing its probably a Clone Wars one, or possibly the prequels

I was the merch line on Friday and they let us in closer to 7:10. But I'm guessing the merch line is probably the worst on the first day and doesn't need to go on that early every day.

The main one I kept hearing was called "Augie's Great Municipal Band" ... (I had to look it up on iTunes.) It's from the celebration sequence at the end of that awful film "The Phantom Menace".

That one got burned into my brain during SWW 2011, it seemed like everywhere I went that loop was playing. I did still hear it this year.

The current one stumping me I don't remember hearing previous years, but its possible that its been there before. Starts with what sounds like flutes and goes into what sounds like a children's choir (if that makes any sense, trying to describe it on here is probably impossible!)

The few times we drive down early in the morning getting the parking pass is always a priority, and I hate taking that time away also! I'm six hours away, so getting there at opening never happens, which is why we usually drive down the night before.

We are about 2.5 hours out and breakfast always throws a monkey wrench into the equation. The family likes to have a decent sit down breakfast. I like that as well, but it is hard to enjoy it when the aforementioned vein is throbbing.

Thanks :) I'm going this weekend so we'll just have to play it by ear I suppose.

Anyone know what days the awesome 501 is marching in the parade?
We march every weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

I have to say, it's awesome to read all the love for us on here! It's a pretty amazing experience to entertain you all in the parade!

The rule is that the 501st can only march in formation with ZERO crowd interaction. The Jawas and Tuskens have more leeway as they can act in character and wander a bit. The Rebe Legion members have the most freedom. We can wave, smile and point!

This year I've been marching as a Rebel Fleet Trooper. There was a moment on Sundays parade where there was a child wearing full clone armor watching the parade. Without hesitation, I saluted him and he saluted back. It was an amazing moment.

A little known fact is that, if you see a member in the park in street clothes with a 501st or Rebel Legion shirt, if you approach us, say hi, thank us and ask, most of us have personal trading cards on us that we just give away. I keep a ton in my wallet.

Another quick "Behind The Scenes" bit of trivia is that, last Saturday, there was a pink astromech droid "marching" with the Rebel Legion. That was R2-KT. She's a fan made droid that was made cannon in the Clone Wars and even has an action figure! You can learn her full back story at www.R2KT.com . It's a very moving and heart-warming tale about how she was built for the Legion founders daughter who had cancer.

R2-KT only marched the first Saturday before she heads to Germany for Celebration Europe. It marks the ONLY time that an outside Droid was allowed to roll the parade route as Disney higher-ups were afraid the RF Signals would interfere with each other( R2-KT and R2-D2).

Anyways, thanks for all the love! We may be dying in that armor but your cheers keep us marching!

One last bit of trivia. Every year, internally, the 501st and Rebel Legions decide to do "Themed Days" where people with certain costumes will wear said costumes to put a focus on them. Example: last Sunday was "Denizens Day" which ment anyone with a Sandperson, Jawa, SandTrooper, Greedo, Bounty Hunter, ect, would wear that costume. Here is the list for this year.

Friday May 17th:
-Endor Day (Biker Scouts, TKs, Ewoks, Rebel Commandos)
Saturday May 18th:
-Original Trilogy Day
-Blizzard Force (Snow Troopers)
Sunday May 19th:
-Denezins Day

Saturday May 25th:
- ROTJ Day
- Prequel Day

Saturday June 1st:
-Pilot Day

Saturday June 8th:
-RFT Day
-Tie Day
