It's now the last weekend in February (25-27). Registration opens July 6...

...I'll be there! Anyone else??

The Princess half is my goal! I didn't know about the date change. Good thing I'm not sending the boys to public school next year & counting on Spring Break. The original dates lined up. The February ones don't. But, doesn't matter since we'll be homeschooling. Spring Break is when we say it is!

In addition to the Princess half I'm hoping to do the 5k w/the family the day before. The boys can use the morning runs as phys ed & a nice, shiny medal will be their reward! :sohappy:

It's my goal too. My mom told me about the date change...lucky thing, I wouldn't have seen that otherwise. I'm curious to know why they moved it up  It looks like this year the ESPN 5k was that same weekend (last weekend in February) so I am not sure if that's getting moved as well.

I really want to do it! Not sure how it will all play out though. Next year is my 30th birthday and I told DH we're going on a Land and Sea Disney vacation! My b-day in in April though so...two trips?? Not sure.

I'm quite bummed about it because it's so close to Marathon Weekend in January. I'm running the Full this year and to go back 7 weeks later and run the half (plus hotel, gas, etc.) is a lot. What to do, what to do?

I was looking at TouringPlans.com's crowd calendar for the new Princess Half dates to see what the numbers looked like. They still had ESPN Weekend listed for the same dates. I'll have to go check Disney's site but surely they wouldn't try to combine the two events, wouldn't ya think?

It wouldn't make sense to me...2 5ks in the same weekend, a half marathon and all the other ESPN weekend activites (admittedly I'm not totall sure what goes on during this though)...it just seems like a lot.

I wonder if they are incorporating the run into the activities for that weekend. I ran the Princess Half in 2009. I know daylight saving time was an issue, it occurred that weekend. I also received a questionnaire shortly after that. One of the questions, I remember, was in regards to the date of the event. Perhaps these are some factors in the date change. I hope to run something at Disney with my husband.

I was just about to register & hubby texted me that he wanted to run it with me. Think I'll wait & talk with him further about this before registering. ;)

That's great! My husband flat-out refuses to do it...oh well. My brother is going to be joining me instead :D
