The Butler did not do it — not here anyway. There will be no heartwarming underdog story capping our tournament this year. Two-time winner DHS Tower of Terror and four-time winner MK Splash Mountain both move on from the semifinals, knocking the last representatives from Epcot and Disneyland out of the bracket.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DHS) def. IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth (Ep) 16-12

Splash Mountain (MK) def. Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye (DL) 18-10

Sadly (at least to me), there will be no West Coast representative in the final round. But we move on (as IllumiNations would remind us were it still here), and as much I would have liked to see a new winner, I have to admit these are two pretty awesome attractions.

So it's time to decide: Will Tower of Terror take home its third crown, or will Splash Mountain establish a stranglehold on the record books with championship No. 5?

Bit of an aside, but there's also a more odd trend hanging in the balance: Namely, the fact that certain "hosts" always seem to end up with the same winners. (Splash has won all four years I've organized the bracket, while Tower won both of DarkImage4's tournaments. Haunted Mansion took its only title during Main Street USA's only turn at the podium.)

Enough blah blah. Here we go!

Final pairing:

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DHS) vs. Splash Mountain (MK)

My vote:

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DHS) vs. Splash Mountain (MK) — With my sentimental favorites all gone, it's time to go with my just plain favorite. My absolute top-ranked WDW attraction vacillates between this one and Haunted Mansion, and I reserve the right to pick either on any given day. I enjoy Tower immensely, but more for the ambient experience than the ride itself.

What?! What happened to Indy? :fork:

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DHS) vs. Splash Mountain (MK)

Not voting for Splash since it's won for 4 years already  We need a new winner.

Although Splash is an almost perfect hybrid of storytelling and ride...Tower just seems to pluck a far more impactful chord with me.

Have to go with Splash here.

And I wonder if your avatar had any affect on the subconscious of the voters... :lookaroun

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DHS) vs. Splash Mountain (MK)--This attraction is right behind IASW as my favorite in WDW, period. The songs are classic, the ride is classic, and I love the AA's from America Sings! There is only one thing that can top this ride, and that is the actual Song of The South movie.

Really? I can understand IllumiNations not making it, but Indy lost to Splash Mountain??? I'm honestly a bit surprised at that one...

With that in mind, it probably comes as little surprise that my pick for the winner goes the The Twilight Zone Tower of Teror at DHS.

It comes down to my two favorite attractions in all of WDW. It's not exactly a level playing field, though, as one attraction competes in another dimension. A fifth dimension beyond time and space found in the imagination. And what a dazzling imagination it is: Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DHS).

two of favorite attractions. I'll vote for

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DHS)

because the ride can be easy updated to keep the drop fresh. and I hear Splash is adding lap bars. Not cool....

I'm almost 100% Splash was my first Disney ride EVER.

It scared me so much, but not anymore.

I vote for you Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear, and Brer Fox.

Great detail and theme-ing, a mysterious and captivating storyline, and major thrills, my vote goes to Tower of Terror.
