2009 Pirate and Princess Party?

Has Disney announced or speculated on whether they will have Mickey's Pirate and Princess Party again in 2009? Any guess on dates?

My family is going to be in Orlando on Saturday, January 24, 2009 and were curious if there would be a Pirate and Princess Party that day? This date seems somewhat consistent with dates they have had the last two years, but I have not seen anything posted?

Ooh, that would be good! I hope they do have them again as we're hoping to go for 10 days end of Feb / beginning of March for our 3rd wedding anniversary. We did the PPP for our first wedding anniversary (we also went to Florida for our honeymoon) and it just gave it a really special touch, especially having our picture taken with Cinderella's coach!

It will probably be a while yet before they announce anything. Last year they also did the party in the fall (Aug- Sept) and I haven't heard whether they are even doing that party again. I would guess it will be Oct-Nov before they announce anything.

If there is going to be any parties next year, Disney probably won't release dates until the fall.

The MNSSHP dates are much eariler now. It starts on September 5 now.

The January 2009 calendar has finally been posted on www.disneyworld.com

The park hours for Magic Kingdom do not appear to indicate any Pirate and Princess parties for January.

Has anyone heard anything about this?

The park hours always fluctuate for January, up until the middle of december.

As for P&PP, the dates for January 2008 were released right after MNSSHP had ended. So look for the announcement in early November.

p.s. Disney only had a few days in january 2008 for p&pp. They may not start it until later in the springs as crowds were pretty weak.

We were hoping for a Saturday, January 24 P&PP and that seemed to be in line with what they had last year. I will keep my ears open.

They are having them just not sure dates yet. Disney's website says to check back for 2009 PPP dates.

I checked the MK calendar for January, and there is no indication of any January early closings, whereas February and March have a few 7 pm closing, which quite possibly mean a special event such as the P&P party.

Seems I read somewhere that the MNSSHP guide map for this year shows P&P returning in 2009. I don't think it listed any dates though.

Thats right from the disney website, so i guess they plan on brining it back! now we just wait for dates!

I dont know the exact number but I guess in theory it could be full park capacity although I would doubt that they ever sell anywhere near this number of tickets. Generally speaking you can expect short to non-existant waits for everything in the park as well as getting a good view of pretty much every show (as always, get a spot for the fireworks early. Without giving anything away you want a good view of the front of the castle)

Official numbers have never and more than likely will never be released but rumors put the ticket limit at about 20,000.
