2008 Travel Book

I have finally finished and got pictures of my travel book. Just in time considering we leave in the morning.

I am going to post them seperately. You notice a common theme on the day pages. The small box is to list the meals we had that day and the larger box is for journaling. This is meant to make it easier to write the trip report when we get back!

Also, every page gets a Mickey head and Mickey border.

This is the overall details page.

This is a pocket that holds all the important stuff. Room stuff, Magical Express stuff.....you get the picture.

Here are the pages open. Each date has extra magic hours and special meals we have planned.

These are just days of the week. Each day has a pocket on the right side. This is for the envelops that we created. I like to put money away every week for meals and things. They have the day of the week on them. We place them in the safe, and everyday we take a new day out.

At the end of the day, we place all the receipts back in the envelope. Then on the outside I record the amount spent at each meal, as well as all the other expenses for the day.

I like to keep track of the total cost of each trip. Makes planning easier the next year. I forgot to take pictures of the envelopes.

What a great idea!! I love the front and think the pop-up windows are so cool. I, too, like to remember where we ate, which parks we were at, etc. and think this is such a great way to showcase that. And the pocket for park maps, and other paraphernelia is such a smart idea.

I think my favorite, though, is the front of the notebook with the mickey head collage. I spy a times guide!!

Great book! So you do the book first and use it as a planner, and then put your photos and other things in it when you get back? That's a really good idea!

Thanks for all the great feedback. We really loved how it turned out. The book is big enough to have a least two years. We will learn what we like or didn't like after this year.

Yes, we took all kind of things to make Mickey heads out of. Yes, one was a guide book. We only have 300 of them from various years! :ROFLOL::ROFLOL:

We then stuck a piece of velium over the page because we were afraid they would come off!

My husband did a great job on all the free hand stuff. He even managed one hidden Mickey on a couple of the pages!
