I am getting married in WDW August 2008 and am wondering when the 2008 room, park, wedding, etc rates come out. Want to start planning but need the costs for next year.

To my knowledge pricing increase information is not released until shortly before it actually happens. I would use the current rates and add 5% for your budget.

I think they post rates for the following year around August/September... You can book based on this year's rates and budget for and estimated increase of 5% and probably be safely within tolerable variances...

Have you gotten in touch with WDW about your wedding plans yet?

I'm no expert on wedding planning, but maybe if you start talking to them now, and maybe lock on a date and location ASAP, you might be able to lock in a price based on this year's rates. Besides, knowing how popular a place WDW is for weddings, it might behoove you to choose your place before it's booked.

And while I'm doling out advice like I think I know something, make sure you and your intended pick out the lightest, most breathable gown/tux on the planet. Orlando in August is no place for heavy clothes, long trains, heavy makeup, hairstyles that depend on low-to-no humidity to maintain their shape, etc.

Congratulations!!

Having had an intimate wedding at WDW back in 2001. If you can book any date other then a Saturday you will pay less. I got married on a Friday at 3pm. We married on the 14th and stayed at the WL, conceirge level (they gave it to us for the price of a regular value season room) until the 20th. The total cost for our wedding and stay was just under $5000. At that time my parents paid for themselves and my Aunt and Uncle $75 a person for dinner.

If you already know you are going to marry there, why not just book at least the 1 room, so you can get planning (although honestly it doesn't book up that fast for the weddings as some may think. We booked and planned our wedding in just 3 weeks. Actually booked it in 1 day, planning was getting all the details perfect)

You will pick out your flowers from a selection they have (I was able to have them leave something off that I didn't like), your cake and the icing, your Reverend which you have to be in contact with yourself (I had Rev Day, perform ours and he was so nice. Sent me several different vows that I cut apart and pieced together to say what I wanted). We had both champagne and white grape juice at the cake cutting and we chose to have a flutist. Not sure what has changed in the package, but this is what it was back in 2001

Good Luck!!
