or maybe just a whole park dedicated to the muppets... in the superstar tv theater they could redo the muppet show LIVE
instead of twilight zone bunsen and beaker could guide you through tower of terror
and instead of aerosmith mahna mahna could play on rockin rollercoaster
kermit instead of indiana jones... fozzy would guide you through GMR
piggy would take you through the backlot and gonzo would be a driver in lights motors action...
forget monsters inc and everything else pixar it should just be Muppet Studios... there i just made WDW PERFECT!

And that is what will drive WDW out of business.

OMG I thought surely I was the only person on the planet that thought Doug was SO great, and I never even saw the TV show. Forget Nemo at AK and the new musical going into DisneySea next year, this was Disney's first in-park original musical. And freakin' adorable. Let the Doug-haters begin...

I think the ride will most likely be Monsters Inc.
Nope.
The current plan (as I hear it) is a clone of the ride going into Paradise Pier at DCA, which is sort of a family dark ride that has interactive elements and features the Toy Story characters (except for Buzz and Woody).
Out there the working name is "Midway Mania"...don't know if that is true for the Studios version.

Please say this is not going to happen... Toy Story characters but not Woody and Buzz.. WHo do people associate more with Toy Story?? Woody and Buzz.. So, make a ride with TS characters but leave out the two most popular ones... What brainiac thought of this one???

That is the last word I heard. Could have changed, but I know J.L. has been involved of late in the development of the Monsters Laugh Floor show, the Incredibles ride for DCA, and this attraction.
Why no Buzz and Woody? Maybe to keep them unique, what with the Buzz ride in DL's Tomorrowland and a Woody themed area that's been on the boards for a while for Frontierland.
The WDW version would just be a direct lift of the DCA ride.

I posted this stuff in another thread, but rather than bring bang an old thread, I'll post it again here... For those wanting a better representation of the Robo Coaster here it is:

Here is a picture from Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 of the Robo Coaster on the Track:
RoboCoaster.jpg

I also made a ride video of the robo-coaster and a different coaster type called the Multi-Dimensional Coaster

Robo Coaster Video Small (9.54 MB)
Robo Coaster Video Big (33.2 MB)

I don't like the sound of this at all, but, I will try to keep an open mind until I hear something official from Disney, as of course, until I see the finished product.

And 336 makes you the expert, I suppose?

How bout this - explain to me, Mr. Expert, just what the number of posts has to do with what you know? Cuz, I can assure you beyond a shadow of a doubt that I know a whole lot more about what's going on in the parks than you do, and I don't have many posts.

In fact, I'd say that the most credible people are the ones that *don't* post often - as the people with the highest numbers are teenage fanboys, not people "in the know."

WOW, I noticed this thread bumped up and I realize Montu decided to take a shot at me.
OK, where did I say I was an expert. Had you done even a modicum of research before you decided to attack me you would have noticed that this now banned member (Starma1128) was probably Ghostbuster626 (also banned). So yeah, I questioned his credibility.
I am impressed that you know so much more about the parks than I do. Congratulations. I also notice that you feel the need to tell people in your posts how much you know. You are very impressed with yourself.
You may not have a lot of posts, but a lot of them are arrogant and rude. Something else to be proud of.

Maybe a Toy Story Stage Show.
Don't think so.
Looks like that may be where they have decided to put the Studios version of "Midway Mania", rather than the Superstar TV/Sounds Dangerous building.

That ride is currently being proposed for DCA in California (Paradise Pier). It would an interactive dark ride (think Buzz) with Pixar characters.

Hearing talk of a new dark ride, no matter what the theme, at MGM makes my ears and heart happy.

So basically a suped up version of Buzz??? Hmmmm A dark ride is a wondewrful addition, but does WDW need another ride like Buzz??? Hey.. Whatever.. as long as it makes the Studios better and as long as it is the beginning of some much needed TLC, then I am all for it.
