2007 Rumor........

LMAX is almost as terrible as stich encounter. Steve Jobs, John Lasseter, and Tony Baxter really need to start kicking ______ soon. Where are REAL rides? You know the stuff thats just sitting around on some WDI shelf like The Great Muppet movie ride, Star Tours 2, Monsters Inc. e-ticket, and Indiana Jones! Thats the kind of stuff thats going to get people like me into the parks and spending $$$! I dont know what the heck Eisner was trying to pull with stuff like Stich's great escape, LMAX, and DINO-RAMA. Thank God for new blood and the great shake-up thats all I can say. Of course maybe my "standards are too high" because I grew up in southern california when rides like Star Tours, Splash Mountain, and Indiana Jones were being built.

The rumor is true. There is a new ride is going into Suess Land. Whether this is the big E-ticket ride I don't know but it will be there. Already the old tracks above Suessland are being taken down and the place where you always entered to see the grinch at christmas has a construction wall saying something like "New fun in 2007". I personally believe that this is a great choice for Universal since IOA hasn't recieved a new attraction since it opened.

I would have to agree with the sentiment that Sounds Dangerous is ready to get the old heave-ho. I personally liked the onl soundstage with Chevy Chase and only because it seemed everytime we went, someone from my family got picked to be part of the show, which makes it a lot more fun.

I also liked Superstar Television and was sad to see it go, BUT I was under the impression that there were big plans for that spot and it is still vacant and THAT is truly what is disappointing about the removal of attractions at WDW; they seem to be taken away without any replacement. Empty buildings can't be more profitable than fresh, new crowd-pleasing attractions.

I agree. I do think Disney has tended to announce things in relation to Universal announcements, but that is far from "necessary." I would guess DIsney's big announcements for 2007 will be something Epcot-related, but they still have decent strength coming from HCOE, so they can delay an announcement until some new marketing breath is needed.
U kinding I thought they might do something different with magic kingdom.

About 3 years ago The Disney people where up here in Pennsylavnia looking at property called "Angelo Park" It was in the news papers and on the news but then it kinda just went away (yes we know Disney would NOT build a park here as its too cold in the winter)

It might have been for Resort like Hilton Head or Vero...But I guess the Poconos didn't fit what they wanted.

I thought that was the (never opened) old ride being brought into use? Sylvesters Driving Machines or something?

So, will we be spotting some monsters at MGM in the next couple years?

I just have a couple requests. Recently, at VisionsFantastic i watched the video for the new Monsters Inc ride in DCA. I was not very impressed. It didnt take advantage of any of the new technology WDI has had for many years now. SO, if Disney World does get some sort of Monsters Inc ride here within the next couple of years.

a) dont make it a clone
b) take advantage of the technology we have...
c) at least have the monsters mouths move
