Hell yeah.

Anyone find it odd that "Accidentally In Love" for Shrek 2 is in the best Origional Song category? Isn't that a cover of an old song?

No....I don't think so.

I think after having such a great career, Johnny Depp deserves an Oscar. I think it's the right time because Finding Neverland is an outstanding movie and he was terrific as J.M. Barrie.

I liked Neverland too. Nevertheless, I don't see a win (unless it's out of respect for his past work.) Both Foxx and Giamatti put up strong performances.

It would be great if Jamie Foxx won both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor....

Has that even happened before?

All I know is I just rented Collateral and I was extremely surprised by how much I liked that movie. I think it was one of the best films of the year. And it isn't even my usual type of movie. I'm more of a comedy guy with occasional action and drama.

Foxx was excellent in this role and Tom Cruise proved that he isn't just a "movie star". He is an actor and a darn good one at that. The film had very complex characters and it never let up during it's 2 hour runtime.

I highly reccomend Collateral and I hope that Foxx gets the Golden Globe for this one.

Uma Thurman deserves it....hopefully she can pull off a Best Actress nomination at the Oscars.

I hope she doesn't get snubbed either. The Kill Bill films were both very good and they are my favorite QT films easily. Don't get me wrong I really like Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, but something about Kill Bill really put it over the top for me.

Collateral was my favorite movie of the summer (along with Harold and Kumar go to White Castle).

My only problem with the movie is the cliched "run-in-gun" finale. All in all, good stuff!

The ending didn't bother me in the least. At least cops weren't involved in the end. It gave me the ending that I wanted and I can't complain about that. I also like Cruise's last line and the call back to what he said earlier in the film.

I'd still say that Spider Man 2 and Anchorman were my favorite films of the summer, but Collateral was certainly a surprise. I wish I had caught that one in the theater.

I'm kinda sad I missed "Eternal Sunshine" in the theaters. Carrey is truly an actor that doesn't get enough credibility. Beyond being hilarious, he can truly be dramatic as well.

"The Majestic", a capra-esque movie that is totally underated, is a prime example of this.

I liked Spider Man 2 as well. However, I can't say the same for Anchorman. Although Will Ferrel is hilarious, that movie could have been a hundred times funnier than it was. I felt the same about Dodgeball.;)

Yes I liked Eternal Sunshine as well but not as much as Punch Drunk Love. It's odd the only artsy movies I want to see involve my favorite low brow comedians. I lost all respect for the Oscars win Carrey didn't even get nominated for Best Actor in Man on The Moon. I would have felt the same way if he had not won, BUT TO NOT EVEN GET NOMINATED FOR ONE OF THE BEST PERFORMANCES I'VE EVER SEEN! I'm still bitter about that one and Oscars hasn't ment the same to me ever since ( Sort of the same way I feel about the Heisman Trophy when Peyton Manning got screwed over because he was the preseason favorite).

I also agree about the Majestic. It was a little long, but a great film that nobody saw.

I've got some advice for you. Go see Anchorman again. Will Ferrell is my favorite comedian right now and when I saw Anchorman the first time I thought it was a B+. But the second time I saw it, it clicked with me and now I place it in my top 20 favorite comedies of all time (With Coming To America being my favorite movie ever). Something about it was just so much better the second time.

I finally saw Dodgeball today and I thought it could have been alot better as well. Maybe it will be like Anchorman where the second time I enjoy it more.

Wow I saw Anchorman in the theater and thought it was hilarious. I just didn't think the movie was too great. As a comedy, it's great, but I'm not sure about it as a "movie." Don't know if that makes sense.

I am not much of a Jamie Foxx fan, but if he gets a Golden Globe, give it to him now, and save the Oscar for Johnny ;). Just Kidding. Whatever happens, happens. I'm not much about awards, so if the nominees I like lose, I don't care. I would like to see Johnny recognized though, but enough of that....

Finding Neverland was definitely THE film of the year. Before that it was The Passion, because it moved me, but I won't delve into that area. I am going to see Kinsey later this week, and have heard good things about it.
