2 hour wait!

i dont think thats true (maybe exageration)... when i was there in february... the longest I waited was 5 mins.. except when I was at AK the one morning waiting to get in.. (waiting for park to open so it didnt count!).:p

Okay now that is a big lie. I went to EPCOT Center for spring break and the lines at security were only about 15 minutes long...

at 9:20am it took us about 30 seconds in line at the security post, and a 1 minute line at the turnstiles, on a Saturday morning ;) no 2 hour lines here! (this was at MK btw...) :zipit:

Nope... even with huge long lines during busy seasons, it really doesn't take that long to go through the checkpoints. Disney will add a bunch of extra security guards to speed things up.

Also, a note... if you have no bags (this includes small packs, and whatnot) you can go right through a special line without waiting.

If you do have a bag... help us out and have it already opened and ready when you get up there. Then, move to the auxilliary table to close everything up. That way, it helps speed things up. :)

LoL...you would think so...but i was amazed...

I was able to get in with my chain wallet (which was something i normally COULDNT do before 9/11)..and my friend got in with his collar (no matter how i say that..its not going to sound good)...

It must be my puppy dog eyes...I can do no wrong ;)

My last visit was in September starting the Sunday right after the attacks. There was almost no one in the parks. I thought that the security checks would be HUGE but they just had me open my bag so they could look in. Nothing more.

The only small back-up was on the morning I went to AK as it was openning. But even that only took about a minute or two.

That isn't always available, but as others have mentioned, even during busy times the wait shouldnt be more than 10-15 minutes. Usually much less.

It took me 10 minutes to get thru at MK 30 min. after park opening right after New Year's.

A lot depends on if people are cooperative (bags already open for security when reaching them, one or two bags per person not five like the 2 people not part of a family I was behind), if the whole family goes thru instead of one or two with the bags.

Having your bags ready to be inspected is a big help for people trying to get in and for security.

Last week, a guy tried to get in the Space Mountain queue while drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette. Turned out, his backpack was full of beer. Way to go bag checkers. :cool:

I never carry any bags. The check at the MK has a section for people to walk through without bags which makes it much quicker.

EXACTLY, what you need to bring bags for anyway? leave it at the hotel, bring some cash and that's it. You walk right through. I saw people with duffel bags and huge hiking backpacks, what is the point of that, really no need.

I was there over spring break and the longest I hade to wait was about 5 mins.. They had plenty of security officers there to get everyone through quickly.
