Buzz Lightyear and Peter Pan's Flight are supposed to be closed for 2 days in march? Why? Why even bother to close it for two days. PPF needs at least a 6-8 month refurb.
Do you think Peter Pan will close this year?Because they're only performing a task that requires 2 days to complete. For example, ride control software upgrade, additional Magic Band integration, Memory Maker hardware, safety concerns, etc.
But the ride needs so much help :/I wouldn't think a full closure (refurb) is going to happen since they just did a bunch of queue upgrades, and Pirates is supposed to be down for a long time at some point this year.
But the ride needs so much help :/
I think it needs a faster loading system and new AA's as wellThis must be whatever Tom mentioned and a quick spruce up for the rest of the year...I would bet they have something up their sleeves for a future major redo to give it some continuity w/ what is presented to the guests in the new queue area.
(A general question for anyone) Is there a precedent for taking an existing ride and changing the ride system or load/unload to increase the guests/hr throughput?I think it needs a faster loading system and new AA's as well
I was going to ask the same thing(A general question for anyone) Is there a precedent for taking an existing ride and changing the ride system or load/unload to increase the guests/hr throughput?
I would imagine so, too. But probably not this year. POTC is more pressing. Peter is dated but not dangerous. This must be whatever Tom mentioned and a quick spruce up for the rest of the year...I would bet they have something up their sleeves for a future major redo to give it some continuity w/ what is presented to the guests in the new queue area.
Just enough time to refresh the tinfoil in the volcano.Buzz Lightyear and Peter Pan's Flight are supposed to be closed for 2 days in march? Why? Why even bother to close it for two days. PPF needs at least a 6-8 month refurb.
Thank you for offering a sane answer but still reading this thread growing quickly.Because they're only performing a task that requires 2 days to complete. For example, ride control software upgrade, additional Magic Band integration, Memory Maker hardware, safety concerns, etc.
Well I saw a video that the clouds on the floor are just plastic bags soJust enough time to refresh the tinfoil in the volcano.
I want to say they updated the ride system at PPF in Disneyland back in the 80s? Where are our resident Disney historians!(A general question for anyone) Is there a precedent for taking an existing ride and changing the ride system or load/unload to increase the guests/hr throughput?
I read somewhere that disneyland's isn't like WDW whereas it moves on a conveyor beltI want to say they updated the ride system at PPF in Disneyland back in the 80s? Where are our resident Disney historians!
Correct. It's a stop and load instead of continuous. Kind of like buzz versus Winnie the PoohI read somewhere that disneyland's isn't like WDW whereas it moves on a conveyor belt
Is it faster loading?Correct. It's a stop and load instead of continuous. Kind of like buzz versus Winnie the Pooh
I'm not sure, but it doesn't have fastpass so even comparing wait times to Disney world doesn't exactly translate. Is it faster loading?
Okay, because for such a dated and short attraction the wait is always foreverI'm not sure, but it doesn't have fastpass so even comparing wait times to Disney world doesn't exactly translate.
You're telling me. PPF was my home for my college program in 2007. I remember hearing rumors of a complete refurb back then!Okay, because for such a dated and short attraction the wait is always forever
