Made this little list of all of our ideas for the people who are just waking up and don't want to see us fight over princes and talk about Frozen songs for 7 pages.

  • Chicken Little Land
  • Mythos Land
  • Studio themed Fantasyland
  • Musical Fantasyland
  • Snowy Fantasyland
  • 4 seasons Fantasyland.
  • FantaSea
Sorry if I forgot something. It is hard to find stuff in all the nonsense last night lmao.
I think I'm leaning the most towards either 4 Seasons Fantasyland or the Musical Fantasyland.

Alright, so we've gotten 12 votes. I sincerely hope that everyone got a chance to vote. However, even if one or two didn't get to, mathematically, we have an automatic winner.

Four Seasons ran away with the win with 10 votes.
FantaSEA ended up with 2 votes.

None of the other options were voted for, so it looks like Four Seasons is the winner!

Nice! "Four Seasons" really is an effective theme to give a little more flavor to Fantasyland.

Ya know how I suggested a Silly Symphony dark ride before?

I feel like something based on Flowers and Trees could work pretty well in a Four Seasons-based Fantasyland.
I’m thinkin’ a spinning caterpillar flat ride.

If we wind up going with the four seasons idea (or even if we don’t), here’s a simple tentative layout concept for that idea.

It’s basically a land-sized hub-and-spoke, using the carousel tree as the centerpiece. Very symmetrical. I’m assuming mostly green space and waterways in this central area (like the Forest we’ve been discussing). I’ve sketched a possible canal boat ride circling the tree island, which could be our Storybook Land equivalent. (There seems to be a bit of DAK in this layout!)

Four seasonal sub-areas appear at NE, SE, SW & NW, with two seasons overlapping space with the castle courtyard area. We can rotate which season goes where, this is just an example. Same for IPs. Additional flat rides, shops & restaurants can fill in around the main attraction show building in each area.

I’ve added a TBD E-ticket at the northern spot. No idea what it could be yet. A Small World stand-in, a coaster like 7DMT or Matterhorn, something else which can unify the overall theme and be Fantasy Forest’s headliner experience?
Alright, so, if we were to go with this plan, there would be 6 sections to work on. Spring, Fall, Winter, Summer, Princess E-Ticket, and Castle Courtyard.

If we broke it down, two of us could work on each subland, but I fear that may not be enough people per group to do what we really want to do here. How do y'all think we should break down the groups. Once divided, I think we can move onto attractions and IP easier. Either that or we list IP now and choose lands from there?

That might not be bad. We can break into teams, and then work together to figure out IPs for each section. We communicate that with each other, so we can give a varied feel to Fantasyland.

Let’s talk IPs now, since that’ll determine who wants to do what. Like, let’s list out every single IP that works in each sub-land and figure out from that what our dark rides will be. That avoids the confusion of e.g. everyone separately going trackless.

Also will there be separate folks working in dining, retail, streetmosphere, overall land description and map, all that Jazz?

I think two is a good number for each group. Plus we have 5 days left and this weekend (which tends to have more people active) Or we could have 3 per group and have 4 people step up and offer to work on the other two attractions as well.

Fair point

Assuming we can feature all of the princesses in our crossover, that covers the Princess films (though I recommend we still use Frozen as a Winter or Fall attraction).

Other than that, what IP should fit in each subland? (Fantasia being the season carousel of course)

Good call. Here's some potential thoughts:

Castle Courtyard:
  • Cinderella
  • Sleeping Beauty
  • Sword in the Stone
  • Snow White (for the Castle walkthrough)
Spring:
  • Bambi
  • Tangled
  • Mary Poppins
  • Pastoral Symphony (Fantasia)
Summer:
  • Hercules
  • Moana
Fall:
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Frozen 2
  • Robin Hood
  • Mary Poppins
Winter:
  • Frozen
  • One Hundred and One Dalmatians
E-Ticket:
  • Disney Princess boat ride
  • Fantasia
