Great new pics!

It seems like almost all of the scaffolding on the outside of the attraction is down. Are we to assume that they are ahead of schedule and will be opening the ride sooner than expected? I really hope they do, but it's also difficult to say how finished the inside of the mountain is at this point.

Absolutly the most amazing pic's I've seen, I'll be there in just 27 days, I should be able to take better pic's because we just picked up another camera, with a higher megepixel, old camera was 2.2, now we are up to 4.0. Should see a small improvement. Just a small question, I'm just a basic member of these boards, do you have to be at a higher level to post picture's? Otherwise I'll have to email them to someone to post for me. And if not could someone please give me instructions on how to post, we still have photo's from our trip in Aug. thanks in advance. 27 days, I'm a 46 year old kid, can't wait can't wait:wave: :dazzle: :D :sohappy:

Is this the first time in history that the actual struction of a object is better than the concept art?

It looks so ****ing good that I would marry the ride if I could.

Your just seeing things.

I don't really care either way, but something looked different to me. It really doesn't matter much either, just an observation, but there is something over the windows on the two sides on the top and something over a few of the windows on the bottom left-hand side of the queue entrance building. Look at this picture in particular:http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=4293060&a=31936294&p=73046390&f=0 See the light brown coverings over the windows? I can't tell if it is just a cloth to protect from construction or plywood to protect from potential strong winds, but it doesn't look the same as before. That's what I was referring to. Nothing of real significance though :)

Im sorry. I think you are correct. It does look like they have put some stuff on the windows.

Would you believe someone left one of those doors cracked open? Guess it pays off to check them every time.

It was around 2:00 I believe. It was really cloudy all day though, barely any sun at all.

Yikes, you aren't impressed with the mountain? Have you seen it since the skin went on? Pictures do not do it justice.
You're right, pictures really do it no justice.

Awesome new pics! Thanks. I see they've added the sign for the shop..."something" Bazaar....I can't read the top print on that sign It also looks like they boarded up some of the windows in the queue building's entrance, or am I seeing things? Preparation for the threat of Hurricane Wilma I suppose?

Its neat to see that the representation of the Yeti that is in statue form in the new shrine along the path was depicted again as a type of folk art in that one small temple thing that you see in some of the pics through the wall toward the Bazaar building.
You've got a great eye, CTX. I agree with you about the reoccurring Yeti design.

awsome pics, thanks so much. does anyone know what else is gonna be in the "village" besides the obligatory ride gift shop?
As far as I know, it's pretty much just Fastpass distribution on the far left, queue and station towards the middle, and gift shop on the right.

Another great EE update! Great pictures of both Expedition Everest, it's surroundings, and those tigers. They were so cute playing in the water! I wish I was there to see that. I also wish I was that I was there to see EE, but I'll have to wait another 26 days.
The one thing that annoys me regarding guests at AK is that most people don't realize this is a very -different- type of theme park, and rather than run from attraction to attraction you really need to stop and soak it all in to truly appreciate it. So many people run through the animal exhibits and then complain afterwards that they didn't see any animals. JEDIsney, if you really want to see the animals out and about be sure to wait around for a little while. If you don't see any animals, give it a few minutes and they'll usually come out.

Some basic animal viewing tips:
1.) Go early in the morning or later in the evening
2.) Check out an animal exhibit or the safari during a rainy or cloudy time of the day, the animals really seem to enjoy it and are very active.
3.) Like I said before, be patient. Wait for the animals, it's well worth it!:)

First, the picture of the E:E with the bridge in the foreground is stunning... It's hard to look at anything else when you notice the reflection the mountain makes in the water.

Next, when I was there last we ate at the Flame Tree BBQ down by the water. E:E was just a large collection of steel boxes. I don't even want to ride it (LIE) when we get there in DEC/JAN, just see it in all its glory.

The Tiger rocks in the pool.

Great Update!
