Hey everybody, just got back from another nice day at AK...

Crowds were minimal, and weather wasn't the greatest---but that's okay because the animals were loving it and were extremely active... We spent a good hour or so watching the tigers play in the water and with each other.

Everest looks better than ever with even more scaffolding down, though it looks as if they're done with train testing for at least a little while (A new piece of scaffolding has gone up right over the main drop.)

The surrounding village looks great, with lots of added details over the past few weeks. The lighting was on and looks very nice as well. (Looking over and through the construction walls)It looks as if they should be ready to push back/remove those walls any day now.

It looks like there is more and more new foliage put up every day... smaller, darker trees have gone up at the base of the mountain really helping with the forced perspective.

Thats about it for today, enjoy the photos!:)

Great pics! I love it when the tigers are playing in the water and with each other instead of just sleeping. I really appreciate the amount of theming and details being put into EE. Can't wait to experience it next year. Thanks for sharing!

I was never too much impressed with the look of the mountain, but in those pictures it looks amazing.

Yikes, you aren't impressed with the mountain? Have you seen it since the skin went on? Pictures do not do it justice.

Awesome new pics! Thanks. I see they've added the sign for the shop..."something" Bazaar....I can't read the top print on that sign :) It also looks like they boarded up some of the windows in the queue building's entrance, or am I seeing things? Preparation for the threat of Hurricane Wilma I suppose?

Its neat to see that the representation of the Yeti that is in statue form in the new shrine along the path was depicted again as a type of folk art in that one small temple thing that you see in some of the pics through the wall toward the Bazaar building.

Another great EE update! Great pictures of both Expedition Everest, it's surroundings, and those tigers. They were so cute playing in the water! I wish I was there to see that. I also wish I was that I was there to see EE, but I'll have to wait another 26 days.

I'm spoiled! At any given moment, I can leave my room and go see a tiger within 10-15 mins. Long live Mike V!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're so lucky.

I love cats and tigers. I have five cats and think they're the cutest and best things in my life (besides Disney). Looking at those pictures of the tigers in the water made me want to go out and get a tiger of my own! They just look so cute. I will definitely be looking out for the tigers at DAK on my next trip in 26 days.

No kidding. I've seen hundreds of pictures here but when I first saw it in person I almost died. The last time I had seen it in person it was all steel beams.
