10/1 40th Anniversary Plans?

Its like a big no no to even mention the 40th. Castmembers just stay hushed as if they arent allowed to even say the word forty when you bring it up. Really a sad state of things how the place is ran now.

I noticed yesterday that they updated the official blog with a 'Tencennial Celebration' entry, and a comment by Nate Rasmussen references a possible celebration on 10/1:

No need. The WDW Celebrations folks usually give everyone nametags.

We should make the Dole Whip stop an event on the WDW Celebrations schedule!

The Polynesian told me today that they decided to move their 40th celebration from October 1 to October 24th. The 24th is the day they did the opening ceremony and is the Polynesian's official birthday. Don't expect to see anything happen on the 1st at the Polynesian Resort.
