10/1 40th Anniversary Plans?

I don't start threads here often, but I really want some news on this and I haven't read much if anything on here about it. I apologize if this question has been posted many times.

Have there been any and I mean ANY announcements for 10/1? We're almost a month away. How far in advance were plans announced for Epcot's 25th?

No there have been no announcements of any events taking place so far.

I know the Polynesian resort has been planning to do something the day of at the resort.

Haven't seen anything official, but just like the Epcot 25th, the WDW Celebrations folks have events planned. That's where we're planning to be to enjoy the 40th.

My friends and I are going to be there, too. Events would be nice but we'll be just fine simply hanging in the park all day.

I'll be there, just haven't decided if I'm going anywhere near MK on Saturday. I'm leaning towards no.

We'll be there too on the 1st in case anything happens. Will be doing the Pirates and Pals Voyage that night as well.

Sadly while I won't be there I will however go to Epcot's 30th Anniversary on Oct 1 2012.

We will be heading to Hollywood Studios on MK 40th anniversary. I'm hoping that it being the 40th anniversary it will draw a lot of people away from other parks.

Me and my mom have an ADR there as well for that day! But I believe its around 1ish...

Poly celebration

I know the Polynesian resort has been planning to do something the day of at the resort.

Tikiman, any idea what the Poly celebration will involve? And what time of day it might occur? We'll be there as resort guests and may modify our touring plans to return to the Poly earlier on 10/1.

I'll be at the Magic Kingdom that day, with ADRs at Plaza Restaurant... Bring on the 40th non-celebration... We don't need no stinkin Disney celebration... The fan can celebrate on their own...

There will be an event taking place in the Magic Kingdom, though it is not Disney sanctioned. The annual Adventurers Club convention, the Congaloosh will be making our way across Adventureland in search of golden idols! The event is free this year if anyone is interested visit Congaloosh.org for more info!

Unfortunately, those days seem to be over. Another example, I suppose, of Disneyland getting all the attention. Why on earth would they spend money just for WDW to enjoy something special?
