Ethnicity Square
Why have a large area on one cuisine when Ethnicity Square brings a little bit of all these great places as smaller Ethnic Neighbourhoods (like NYC): Suddenly, Little Italy, Chinatown, Astoria (Greek), Koreatown, and Little Odessa (Russian) can all be found together bringing a few small cuisines into one friendly square.

Bonus - The Subway: Guests load into a raised NY Subway to get unrivaled sights of the various Ethnic Neighbourhoods as well as the other parts of the park (much like a Monorail).

Olympus Square
Located in-between Fantasyland and Treasure Cove at Shanghai Disneyland, Olympus Square brings the mystery and wonder of Greece to life, through a vibrant marketplace setting full of unique foods and shops, as well as an epic dark ride themed around Hercules; altogether giving one the feeling that they're strolling through Ancient Greece during the time of the gods and the early Olympic games.

Tian Square
Using up the space between Mickey Avenue and Adventureland in Shanghai Disneyland, Tian Square honors traditional chinese mythology throughout the land with the overall aesthetic being a traditional chinese inspired environment, with the area containing a total of two shows, a b-ticket indoor coaster, two c-ticket flatrides, an e-ticket dark ride, two restaurants, and two shops, with all of the above being themed around different bits of folklore/stories/myths but with no real focus on any particular period.BONUS
Said E-Ticket dark ride is The Moon Goddess, which goes through the story of Chang'e and Hou Yi but with a completely new dark ride type to go along with it as the ride system is a unique combination of a suspended dark ride and a regular dark ride.

Old Town Square
Modeled after the square of the same name in Prague, Old Town Square takes the addition of new lands to Epcot's World Showcase in a different direction by adding several smaller countries, that wouldn't normally be added on their own, with a commonality at once with this first land introducing the Czech Republic, Poland & Romania in this grand square concept that is popular throughout Europe and providing dining, shopping and cultural offerings to showcase each.
Bonus: Ghosts, Ghouls & Mortal Fools
This new omnimover dark ride brings a spooky, if somewhat humorous adventure at times to Epcot, similar to The Haunted Mansion, and utilizes techniques from Navi River Journey and Runaway Railway to takes guests on a paranormal adventure through some of the spookier sights of the countries part of Old Town Square including Czocha Castle in Poland, Prague's Charles Bridge and culminating with a trip through Romania's eerie Hoia Baciu forest with the various scenes transitioning from day light to show off the locales to nighttime for a bit of fright and adventure.

An opening day land at Disneyland México, Pueblo de los Muertos provides for a land centered around the dead; featured in this land are offerings old and new such as: Espirutu Mansion - Haunted Mansion with a sugar skull twist, various gift shops (Memento Mori, Recuerdanos, La Offrenda y El Arte de Alebrijes, La Artistas stage housing various small scale shows (Los Bailadores de Frida y Los Chachalacos), Los Toritos: Baile de Fuego - a Junkyard Jamboree style ride pulled by bucking firework bulls, Vuelo de los Alebrijes - a multistory (queue on ground, ride on second) dueling Dumbo style ride utilizing alebrijes, and Coco: Un Viaje Musical - a journey through the world of Coco utilizing Broadway caliber sets and singers, special effects and of course the music from the film.
BONUS: E-Ticket Ambience
Taking an unconventional approach the E-Ticket for this land is actually the entire indoor pavilion that makes up the Coco themed portion of the land; as guests walk into the entryway of the indoor land they enter El Tunel de Calendula and walk across the marigold bridge from the film into the world of the dead, and here guests will see everything is recreated faithfully utilizing props simply there for aesthetics (Templo de Maya y los Aqueductos), screens and forced perspective to give the land depth, and of course all the vibrant entertainment and kinetic energy within the building with the various smaller shows and flat rides.

Solvang is an amazing little town with so much to do that will be translated into it's own land which includes having your very own ebelskiver, petting and feeding ostriches, and lots of shopping and dining based on Danish culture.
Bonus: Vineyard Maze
A new experience opening with this land is a Vineyard maze where it allows guests to go through a maze of vineyards and hope you find your way out! (Cast Members will be located in certain parts with a map if you need help or get stuck)

Place de la Réassance
As an expansion of Main Street in Disneyland Paris transitioning to Discoveryland, translated to English, Renaissance Square celebrates the vibrant European era of science, art, and exploration, acting as a symbol of innovation leading into the future.
Bonus: Journey to the 'New World' will be a slow-moving omnimover dark ride through the French Renaissance

With so much time & history on these boards, Mr. Space Mountain 354 has shown a constant passion for the Renaissance. It is a recurring theme which Space refines often. Hard to fault, Space, with a theme as rich and immersive as this.
There is no doubt that Disney could pull this off. Mediterranean Harbor as DisneySea proves that. It works especially well in Disney’s Paris Resort, lending a clockpunk transition from to Discoveryland and expanding upon the nearby Main Street Arcade with its display on historic inventions. Place de la Reassance offers great opportunities for good dining & shopping – the X-factor of a Disney “Square” land IMHO which distinguishes it from a ride-heavy land like, say, Fantasyland.

Mexican culture is incredibly vibrant, making it very well suited for this prompt. Tijuana itself is not so wonderful, but Hong Kong guests won’t know that…besides, almost certainly your land would closely resemble Spanish Colonial towns like Guanajuato or San Miguel or Merida, just to name some at random. This would be very exotic & escapist in Asia!
Your brief write-up appropriately suggests the land’s dining & shopping without skimping on additional depth. I can definitely see this working at HKLD (which specializes in smaller lands like Mystic Point), particularly in the expansion space near Adventureland.

The Baltic cultures aren’t one I’m especially familiar with. But I am now very intrigued by this idea! Kudos on whetting the reader’s appetite with just a few carefully-chosen descriptors (plus one effective image). It sounds from your description like there could be a whole heck of a lot of material to draw from in fleshing-out this land.
You do a good job of keeping Baltic Square in-line with the other “Squares.” Good food, interesting architecture…plus local myths & folklore which can fuel several attractions. I’m not myself reviewing the “bonus,” but “Viking POTC” fits this land so very, very well.

Take a step back in time and witness the glittering possibilities of science on display at Discovery Square, a 19th-century seaside town whose busy streets play host to a Scientific Exposition that showcases the potential of tomorrow as imagined by the scientists of yesterday!
Bonus: The Clockwork Palace brings guests of the Exposition face to face with the ingenuity of Prof. Wulfgang Sproketz, as his Automated Automobiles bring us on a dark ride tour through a brilliantly-designed mansion of steam power and clockwork.

The definition of a Disney “Square” is a little vague, so while this proposal steers further from the established mold it’s hard to call that a fault. There’s still plenty of focus here on real world charm, though the focus is less on historic culture and more on historic science. The 19th-century World’s Fairs and Crystal Palaces are eternally romantic, plus – as the predecessors to Disneyland itself – incredibly well-suited to theme park adaptation.
From the name on down, I’d say this is more inspired by Paris’ Discoveryland than it is by, say, Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square. That means there’s less focus here on a specific architectural aesthetic, or on interesting cuisines, etc. You mention a “seaside town” setting; one extra word, like e.g. “Icelandic seaside town,” could bring Discovery Square much closer to Disney’s other Squares.

This is a bold approach to the prompt! Rather than duplicate any world city or culture, from what I can tell, instead this is more like a Food Pavilion in Epcot’s Future World. That is an unexpected & fascinating approach. Paris is the right spot for this, both because France is known for its great food and because somehow the Disney Resort there is known to be somewhat lackluster on that front.
By eschewing obvious cultural influences, Harmony Square’s visual look isn’t clear. Attractions and retail are also vague, except as support for the molecular gastronomy-sounding dining experiences. This proposal would be stellar for a restaurant prompt; as a land, there’s a lot that’s left unclear.

Cape June
Serving as the transitioning point between Adventureland (with its colonial style buildings) and Eric’s Kingdom (with its seaside theme) in Fantasyland and also having an entrance close to the Castle Hub; Cape June is an expanded version of DisneySea’s Cape Cod; most of the activities that can be done here are admiring the beautiful Roaring Twenties set town and taking in the ambience, shopping and dining (including an all year round Christmas Shoppe, an ice cream and soda fountain, an old seafood restaurant on the waterfront that has a regular jazz band called the “Catch of the Day” (and a speakeasy in the basement) and a great boutique that boasts comfortable, cool, charming, and cozy clothing for just about everything) but also present are “The Citizens of Cape June”; a streetmostsphere show that occurs several times a day, a trackless boat ride nearly identical to Aquatopia with the biggest differences being that it’s not in the steampunk style and that it’s set up as a race between Mickey and Oswald, a spinner ride similar to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree where a company of merfolk sing sea shanties to guests riding carriages pulled by little sea dragons inside a grotto on the outskirts of town, and a D ticket dark ride that would act as a maritime cousin to The Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square.
Bonus: Hauntings Beneath the Sea is a marriage between 20K Leagues Under The Sea’s dry for wet dark ride system and the Haunted Mansion’s balance between frightening and silly; with an addition of fascinating, as submarines take guests from the studies from the foreboding hall of the sea captain who sets them up for the voyage to explore an uncharted portion of the North Atlantic and into his private submarine base to the Leviathan’s nest and the ship graveyard; the latter being a resting place of some rather merry spirits who love to mess about with each other and some of the local sea life, as well as an intriguing and mesmerizing sea valley that is home to some merfolk; some of whom watch the subs go by on the ridge overlooking the sea floor.

Disney likes to recycle resources, so inevitable a New England theme would take on that style. Having visited DisneySea, it’s an utterly charming little area which absolutely demands expansion into a proper land of its own with real attractions and more (and better) dining…so both of these proposals have a strong, appealing underlying idea.
Despite two very different proposal styles (one very minimalist, the other much more flowery), both suggest a depth of activity and texture. Each approach has its risks & rewards. The terser New England Square demands more imagination from the reader, which Cape June supplies with specificities like the year-round Christmas Shoppe. Yet Cape June errs by over-explaining certain additions (flat rides) which might undermine the quaint nautical charm. Proposal-wise, it’s a draw! And yet…………..if this game is mostly about good ideas, these are equally wonderful.

I’m so glad you’re back and enjoying the game. Entirely as a Villains Land, and in that spirit, I am very much a fan of Despicable Square!
Unfortunately you’ve missed a few rounds, so I’m afraid you’ve misinterpreted this challenge. We were expecting a land set in a Disney Castle Park (which DCA is not), inspired by either New Orleans Square or Liberty Square. This is more like a villainous Fantasyland. The name “Despicable Square” could cause confusion with Universal’s Despicable Me brand. Replacing Pixar Pier further distances DCA from its abandoned California theme.
Now let’s ignore all that…
As its own thing, this land is fantastic! There is great variety here between attractions, shops & restaurants, all featuring a wide assortment of Disney bad guys and never feeling overstuffed. Maleficent’s Castle is a good central landmark. The sheer variety of things described, from nighttime shows to even the land entrance, show off your profound passion. Keep it up!

You’ve really nailed the spirit of New Orleans Square! Havana Square would work in a very similar way, with a timeless & textured exploration of a romanticized, under-visited city. A city full of culture, lively music, exotic food, plus no doubt the stores might be interesting too. Heck, both Pirates & Mansion could fit in this milieu with very little effort. Good additional note on the transition to Adventureland.
This is my favorite proposal! It’s a personal taste thing, partly, because I’m entranced by Cuba. It’s a good proposal anyway, and a fantastic idea, so well-earned.

AEGYPTUS SQUARE
Step into a time of uncovered ancient secrets and rumoured cursed tombs within Aegyptus Square, frozen in the 1920s where archaeological digs are all the rage; explore a traditional Cairo market of small shops, including Imhotep's Inventory, a technology and merchandise shop, named after Egypt's greatest architect; two major restaurants, the colonial bar Blue Parrot Club, and Wonders of the Nile, a bayside restaurant with an African and Mediterranean menu; a small museum of ancient Egyptian relics, fantastical streetmosphere including traditional African musicians specialising in roots revival, and storytellers who share the legends of the gods; and a signature indoor boat ride called The Voyage of Ra.
BONUS: THE VOYAGE OF RA -- Set within the Luxor Temple, guests descend down through an abandoned digsite into the Underworld, following the sun god Ra on his nightly journey of rebirth, onboard sun barges, encountering the deities of the depths, gigantic snakes, the spirits of the dead, and soul-devouring crocodile-headed god Sobek.
(I deliberately left out a location or transition, as I don't think this would fit in any existing castle park at the moment. If it was vital, I'd consider Shanghai possibly.)

With just a few tweaks, Aegyptus Square could go into Epcot just as well as Disneyland! It works for Disneyland just fine, of course, as something else which could comfortably sit alongside Adventureland. Your idea gives off a very similar pulp adventure vibe, heavy on the Casablanca, but with a sensitive focus on Cairo.
This land works wonderfully even without rides! The promise of winding alleyway shops, several distinctive restaurants attentively described, streetmosphere even! I just worry that the name Imhotep (apt though it is) might draw too many parallels to Universal’s Mummy franchise. Though this is far, far more immersive than any of the Mummy stuff they’ve built.

Greek culture is a very appropriate starting point for a “Square” land. It naturally lends itself to everything needed: shopping, dining, attractions. While Olympus Square gave Shanghai Greece (exotic and faraway in China), you’re offering up a mythologized local history with Tian Square. This can be like selling ice to Eskimos. Done without care, and an Americanized interpretation of Chinese culture might offend locals. Or it just might not be especially escapist. Look to DCA’s California theme and how underwhelming that can be.
However your infusion of classical Chinese mythology adds just the right dose of fantasy to make this appealing. The description makes it feel more like an Oriental Fantasyland than like a more culturally-focused “Square.” Had you selected a specific period from Chinese history (which has millennia to choose from), rather than intentionally left the setting open-ended, this would then be more in-line with Disney’s stateside Squares.

Since you’re just now joining our One Sentence Competition, you’ve missed the part where every challenge takes place inside a Disney Castle Park. While a new pavilion for Epcot’s World Showcase is technically not answering the prompt, Old Town Square is actually in all other regards very much in the proper spirit.
This works well to bring a multitude of smaller countries into World Showcase. While the park already has a surplus of European settings, Prague offers something just different enough – and with enough variety of food & retail & such – to stand apart. I noted in an earlier review (one written before you posted) how similar Square lands are to World Showcase pavilions, and your proposal bears that out.
Incidentally, it’s great to see so many entries arriving during the deadline extension!

Duckburg Square

Duckburg is a natural choice for a theme park land, especially as a way to replace or improve ToonTown. Scrooge’s Money Bin makes for the perfect “weenie” & centerpiece. Duckburg is not particularly suited for this particular challenge…in fact, it fits the upcoming Final Challenge much better! Since Duckburg is a cartoon world, one that’s only vaguely inspired by real world cities (primarily the cultural wasteland that is Burbank, CA), it cannot offer the worldly shopping or dining of a New Orleans Square.

This is a fine presentation without it. The underlying idea of a colonial Mexican square is already one which I’m pre-sold on. You have built in a wide range of ideas reflecting the richness of Mexican culture, with a very Coco-esque focus on Dia de los Muertos. The potential shopping & dining in such a place almost writes itself…but you should have written it anyway. There’s more focus here on the attractions (what’s with all the Junkyard Jamboree clones?!), leaving the lovely Arte de Alebrijes buried.
I’m torn on placing this in a hypothetical Disneyland Mexico. The land’s magic might be diluted a bit when located amongst genuine Mexican plazas. Had you placed Pueblo de los Muertos in any other Castle Park…or even left it as a totally Blue Sky land concept without a specific location…the land’s many wonderful qualities would stand out more strongly.

Solvang?! Like, Solvang in California? (Or do the Danes have one too?) I must say this is certainly an unexpected theme for this round...maybe because after several days all the other options were taken.
The Solvang which I personally know north of Los Angeles is a quaint, charming little village, with a central area perhaps no larger than this land itself would be. There is enough distinct ethnic culture, not to mention that iconic spinning windmill, to make a cute little area out of this. It's sort of like the West Coast equivalent of something like Cape Cod. It's a little smaller in scale & scope, certainly not someplace epic like New Orleans. For charm, though, this can't be beat.

CHALLENGE NINE
FASTPASS ROUND
While we’ve been exploring our perfect Disney Castle Park, we’ve been slowly gathering FastPasses. (They still use the paper system in this park.) And wouldn’t you know it, all of those FastPass windows are now open at the same time!
What that means is Challenge Nine offers up multiple FastPass tasks. This is a way to explore the finer details of our Castle Park. It’s also a way to get a whole lot of points really quickly! Each mini-challenge is 1 sentence each (and worth 1 point each). You can do as many or as few as you wish. Just remember there will be medals handed out for each FastPass task.
MAIN STREET FASTPASS
Propose a new Emporium window display
TOMORROWLAND FASTPASS
Create a seasonal overlay for Space Mountain (in the style of Hyperspace Mountain or Ghost Galaxy)
FANTASYLAND FASTPASS
Propose a new Fantasyland streetmosphere show
ADVENTURELAND FASTPASS
Write a new joke for Jungle Cruise
FRONTIERLAND FASTPASS
Create a new character for Country Bear Jamboree
