Could A Bug's Life have some sort of presence in Animal Kingdom in the near future? We're obviously never getting the show back, but it would be nice if they set up some kind of "permanent" meet and greet with Flik and the other characters.
There is a Moana meet and greet that’s kinda redundant now.

Y'all forgetting that Tough to Be a Bug and surrounding Bug's Life kiddie rides were removed from DCA?

No surprise that Bug's Life is now a moribund IP for the parks.

Yeah, but unlike DCA, they once had a natural home at Animal Kingdom, seeing as how vital insects and arachnids are to the rest of life on earth.

But that was back when thesis statements actually mattered.

“Welcome to a kingdom of animals… real, ancient, and imagined: a kingdom ruled by lions, dinosaurs, and dragons; a kingdom of balance, harmony, and survival; a kingdom we enter to share in the wonder, gaze at the beauty, thrill at the drama, and learn.” - Michael Eisner

“Nah, here’s a limited edition Encanto popcorn bucket shaped like the muscle woman’s Titanic. Member the muscle woman’s Titanic song? Eat up, piggy. And you better not forget the other souvenirs.” - Bob Iger

Which is sad, because it was Pixar's Pinocchio. Then again, WDW has a pretty limited Pinocchio presence. Mostly just the quick service restaurant that most people associate more with IASW.

I'd argue though that both were important to their studios, especially had they failed.

Regardless, I'm happy to have enjoyed ITTBAB longer than I probably should have.

Just going to point out again that Bug's Life to me in the same problem as Zootopia. It's a human movie just told with animals. What happens in that movie is a relatively simple dictator story with the young "inventor bug" rising up and saving the whole colony... that isn't how animals work.

I get that but do think it is a little different. The Ants still act like ants and live in the habitat of ants

They aren't wearing clothes and living in buildings and going to the DMV, etc

And if a Bug's Life doesn't fit then the Lion King doesn't either

And now we found the problem with being super super specific about what animals "fit"? You go on a slippery slope quite quickly. The Bugs make a circus, invent giant flying bird contraptions, have bars, etc. It's just a more modern vs less modern take on an "animal" world. Jungle Book fits incredibly well as it explores mankinds relation with humans from the animals perspective BUT the animals don't usually act "all animal" between King Louie, the elephants, etc.

Also the bugs in bugs life DO sometimes where "human-like" things. Honestly I have no problem with Zootopia being here. I don't think an entire land fit in AK but a show that could be about how the different animals in Zootopia interact with each other or smth could work well in its favor.

It's not really a slippery slope -- the problem with Zootopia is that it doesn't have animals (in terms of how animals is used colloquially; scientifically speaking humans are animals). There are no animals in the Zootopia world; they don't exist.

The characters in Zootopia are animals the way the characters in Robin Hood or Sing are animals.

Then let’s just air on the safe side and not shove movies into the park.

Genie is out of the bottle on that one. When the other guys are using super popular IP and you spent $80 billion dollars to acquire IP, and rethemes of original attractions into IP attractions do very well, it makes no real business sense to not include IP. The "safe side" is always going to be IP. Look at how much CBMJ improved in ratings after putting in IP, Guardians (less of a fair comparison) but you cannot tell me that it would have done nearly as well as the generic "Big Bang Coaster" that was originally planned for Epcot.

It's funny because they're using no IP from that $80 billion dollar acquisition in Florida.
