“Project S” New Resort

Interesting detail I found combing through the meeting packet for August 28.

Today, the CFTOD Board is considering a Master Services Agreement for Chen Moore and Associates to install new electrical transformers for servicing “Project S.”

In their proposal, Chen Moore describes Project S as a “new resort.”

To me, this seems likely to be related to the resurrection of the Reflections Lodge, especially given the recent permits that were filed.

15 KV switch gear and transformers are not large. So it won't be for a large hotel building. Think single-family buildings/house like structures.

It sounds like they're taking an existing medium voltage primary circuit and expanding it. If I had to guess this would be for cabins/bungalows expanded further south/east from the existing cabins/bungalows at WL. Each transformer can handle 2-4 of these structures.

Ask “Hey Disney” to set an alarm for 4:30 like the rest of us. You can sleep when you’re dead.

Nope. Disney has filed a trademark for "You can sleep when you're dead." for the upcoming Haunted Mansion Starcruiser Adventure Experience. You'll have to find another way... unless you really want to subject your loved ones to Disney legal when you're gone.

So if the copper creek cabins are extended along the shoreline, a line is drawn on the shoreline with existing + added cabins, and then a mirror image is made it'd look like an "S" 😂

Me:

This starts to abut the Reflections site enough that one can envision long term development along the shore connecting Wilderness Lodge to Newflections to Fort Wilderness.

The fact that you reversed that map makes me feel far more uncomfortable than I expected.

I need a nap.

The recent Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness permit listed 18 different address, so 9 transformers 2 sites per transformer.

Except the permits are for the same addresses (plus an extra one or two) as were originally filed for Reflections.

I think Project S is for the latest version of Reflections. Which may well be similar to the CCV cabins.

If anyone needs some humor, go read the Google Reviews for Reflections. It's pretty amazing...
"Had to sleep in the dirt and cover myself with moss and leaves to stay warm. The food was as pretty good, you have to scavenge for food as the resort hasn’t been built yet. If you want a really outdoorsy type resort this is the one for you! You literally sleep outside and have to fight off bears, alligators and snakes! Also the pool is very green and filled with algae, it definitely adds to the rustic and outdoorsy atmosphere! Would definitely stay here again!"

Not sure why the third-party contractor is calling it a new resort, but Project S ("Sausalito") has previously been known to be Cosmic Rewind

There was recent backstage work at Cosmic Rewind

I hope Disney goes bold here and takes the opportunity, when they resurrect the Reflections Retirement Community, by making use of unutilized, non-profitable water. Fill in that entirely purposeless Bay Lake and recover over 415 acres of land for gift shops and timeshares.
