We mobile ordered Hungry Bear for some chicken fingers. We enjoyed some sunshine trying to dry off. Prior to our trip I had been trying to score a Ogas Cantina reservation unsuccessfully. It can be difficult to get reservations for 8! While we were waiting to enter the park this day I hopped in the App right at 7am and was able to score one for 1:00pm. We were headed there next. We asked if we could wait for a table. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes.

my two youngest really enjoyed the “club” atmosphere. They were sipping their drinks and dancing to the DJ. I don’t think we will do this again anytime soon but we were glad we went.

Next up was Roger Rabbit. My kids have never seen this movie so they were confused the whole ride.

We took in the sights of Toon Town before heading off to the train.

We had originally planned in a midday break back at the hotel but since we were able to go to Oga’s and rest our feet for a bit we decided to park hop back over to DCA for a few rides. When we got there we discovered both Guardians and Radiator Springs were down. The girls decided on Incredicoaster and Walker and the grandparents went to Toystory Midway Mania.

We said goodbye to the Incredicoaster and met back up with Paca and Grandma.TSMM was down so they didn’t get to ride. We decided to head Under the Sea. I had been eyeing the Mermaid ears all trip and while I was in the bathroom the Hubby bought them for me 😍 .

It had been awhile since lunch so we were all getting hungry. A Mickey bar with this backdrop always hits the spot.

The app said Radiator Springs was back up. We decided to briskly walk to jump into the standby line. By the time we got there it was already back down. We decided to cut our loses at DCA and head back to Disneyland. A couple of chocolate faces saying goodbye to DCA. Until next time.

On the walk back Jet started saying her ear was bothering her. She is on swim team and gets swimmers ear often. I could tell this is what was going on and she was in a lot of pain. We stopped in at the first aid station on Main Street. They were so nice and checked her out and gave her some Ibuprofen for the pain. We wanted to give her some time for the pain relief to kick in and Handsome had been begging to show us Tarzans tree house so that was our next stop.

By the time we were done exploring Jet was feeling better. She was literally swinging from trees.

We went to get in line for pirates. We waited about 15 minutes and the line wasn’t moving. We decided to jump ship and just as we did a CM was saying the ride was down.

We hasn’t spent much time in Fantasyland so we decided to head there. First up Snow Whites Scary Adventures. Our car felt fitting.

We had no plans for dinner and no one wanted any of the quick service options. I had 7 hangry individuals looking at me for a solution. Carnation Cafe had a reservation in 30 minutes so I scooped it up. There was no line at Pinocchio so went for a ride.

we made our way to dinner and were seated quickly outside. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. The company wasn’t half bad either ;) .

we grabbed our treat and went into the Tikiroom. I know this is a classic....I know people adore it..... I thought it was different... :bored: . Handsome slept through it, then was mad he missed it so he wanted us to go again. Hubby refused😂. We were running out of steam but no one wanted to leave. We still had one last Hyperspace fastpass so back we went.

I’m not sure why but Buzz is always our last ride of a Disney trip.So we sadly boarded Buzz.

We walked sadly down Main Street not wanting to leave but too tired to stay any longer. We took our parting shot and ended the park days of our trip.

We went back to our room packed up the last few things and said good bye to Disneyland Resort. Our flight home was early the next day so we did a few touristy things in LA. We drove up to Griffith Observatory and saw the Hollywood sign.

had lunch at In and Out burger. Then we went to Santa Monica Pier.

We checked into the hotel and got a good night sleep. The flight home was uneventful. I will do a wrap up post tomorrow.

If you read this report in it’s entirety thank you. I get so much joy living vicariously through other people’s reports. I hope someone out there had the same entertainment with mine.

To wrap it all up in a pretty bow.

Who: This trip goes down as my favorite so far. The Magic was still there for Handsome. He truly felt as though he was meeting Darth and flying the Falcon. I know he won’t remember this but I always will. My sweet girls are getting older. Their princess days are behind them, sigh. However I got to see little glimpses of those babies on this trip and it made my heart soar. This new chapter with them is fun. Hearing their giggles as they did their first upside down roller coaster or their nervous excited banter waiting in line for Guardians. The time with them is the best part of a Disney trip. My amazing in laws. I know this one was tough for my mother in law. They have always been our Disney travel companions. I hope this continues even if it means a slower pace or more pool time. Again the best part about these trips is the time together. My sweet Hubs. He listens to me plan and replan trips 1000 times before the trip. Just when I think he’s not listening he does something like buy me my coveted Ariel ears. 😍

Where: We choose Disneyland over WDW because we wanted the ease of going back to the resort by walking . Monorails and buses are great but nothing beats my feet. It was so easy to go stroller free. Plus those California beaches cannot be beat! Disneyland Hotel was retro and felt like a deluxe resort. If I had to compare to a WDW resort I would say the contemporary.

When: October was perfect! Beautiful weather and low crowds. All we needed was a sweatshirt in the early morning or evening.

Why: It’s our tradition when our kids turn 4 they get a Disney trip. To me this is the perfect age. It’s magic and they are tall enough for most rides. We have now had our kids at the following ages 6 months, 18 month s (twins), 2 years through 9 years old. EVERY age has had its pros and cons. Losing the diaper bag at Disney for the first time was AMAZING. I can’t wait to lose the stroller next trip ( I promise I won’t let this stroller thing go on too long)

That’s it for us. No Disney in 2020😭. We are doing a 2 day Universal trip in November for Jets 10th birthday. It will just be her, the hubs and I. Not sure if I should trip report this one since it’s Universal (let me know if you would like to hear about it).

2021 is my 40th year on this planet so I am thinking of either Disney or Italy. I can’t decide!!! It’s Spring break yuck. Not sure I can brave the crowds.

If you made it to then end thank you for following!!!

Thanks for sharing I enjoyed your report and it is also helping with my planning for my upcoming trip. I am considering going sans stroller for the first time with my 4&5 year old as my double stroller has been retired after way too many miles on it.
