Trip Report “Are we outside?” A Disneyland report COMPLETED

The Disney blues have officially set in however we had the best time and made the best memories.

Who: ME! Hubby, Paca, Grandma, Bear, Nene, Jet and Handsome.

Where: Disneyland Hotel

When: Oct 11 to Oct 18
Why: Handsome’s 4th birthday

We had never been on Goofy’s sky School so we decided to head there next. This is one and done for me. Too much whip lash. And double chin.

Next up inside out. We waited about 40 minutes which was our longest wait of the whole trip.

Then the silly symphony swings to get us ready for lunch.

Shoot I missed this one from our walk in. Had the place to ourselves. Walk had to ask again “Are we outside?”

We still had some time before our lunch reservation so we had a quick healthy snack.

Me too! I forgot how much work a puppy is! I think it’s more work than the kids. The Incredicoaster was the “kids” favorite for sure.

After visiting our girl Minnie we decided to watch the Guardians dance party

with Quill and Gamora. The kids loved this.

At long last it was time for lunch! We were starving! We were eating at Carathay Circle. The inside is so pretty.

My mom adores Shirley Temple so I sent her this.

We were seated outside. It was a little noisy at first because the band was playing but it made for some great entertainment.

I only took pictures of my salad and dessert but the pork chops were delicious also.

The kids ordered either tacos or salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It was our favorite of the trip!

Since we had accomplished everything we wanted to this morning we went back to the hotel for a swim and a break. Our house does not nap. Like @Darstarr says I can sleep at home. We decided to head back to Disneyland. I was on the fence about buying park hopper tickets because crossing parks was so difficult for us when the kids were little and we had to deal with strollers. We went stroller free a lot this trip and it was so freeing!! While we were at lunch and the pool I loaded up our evening with fast passes in each park. I adore the Maxpass system we only stood in standby a few times this whole trip. First up Smallworld. We love all the characters in the DL version.

Next up BTMR front row.

Next up was another fastpass for Hyperspace Moutain. We were crisscrossing the park quite a bit but the crowds were low so it wasn’t bad.

We Mobile ordered pizza while on Space and it was ready by the time we got done. We had a hard time finding a seat but a nice family who had finished saw our dilemma offered us their table. They were Canadians @amjt660. We finished our pizza and rushed over to Buzz for our last DL fastpass this night.

Back to DCA for Guardians. This time Grandma, Jet and Handsome sat this one out. They rode Monsters Inc while we rocked out with Rocket.

I had forgot to mention Guardians had gone down while we were at DL do we rode on an anywhere fastpass. Since Jet, Handsome and Grandma didn’t ride we still had their fast passes. Hubs is not about to let a fastpass go to waste so him and Jet went off to ride Incredicoaster. The rest of us were on the hunt for treats. The girls had been dying to try the huge fancy Carmel apples. Once we found those at Clarabelles, I was on the hunt for my treat a chocolate ice cream sundae with hot fudge and marshmallow sauce from Ghirardelli. We met back up and found our spots from the dining package for World of Color.

Unpopular opinion this is our very favorite Disney nighttime show, gasp!

Day 4
We were supposed to sleep in. However I can’t sleep in and I’m in Disney. I gathered our laundry and went down to the facilities. I put the wash in and walked to Starbucks. I went up to the room to see if anyone was awake. Nene was and said she would go with me. We spent 40 minutes chatting and walking the grounds. It was wonderful to spend these precious minutes with my middle child. Those are hard to come by. We folded the laundry and went up to get everyone ready. We were heading to Corona Del Mar to see the coast.

We went to a cafe in Laguna called Penguin and we all enjoyed our meal.

After our morning on the coast we made a quick Target run for essentials water, goldfish and gummy bears . We went back to the hotel and got ready for the Halloween party. We arrived right at 4:00pm and the place was crazy! The line to check in for the party wrapped back and forth about 40 times. It took us 30 minutes to get our wristbands and treat bags. Sorry this post is going to be more word heavy I just didn’t take many pictures! We tried to mobile order Award Weiners but it was down so we had to stand in another time. The temperatures were pleasant our entire trip except under the polyester costumes it was downright hot!!! I had sweat dripping down my back and hungry kids whining around me. The party wasn’t starting out the way we hoped. Once we had our hotdogs and the sun went down the night improved. We hit up all the treat stands around Hollywood land then rode Guardians with a 5 minute wait.

We made the walk to Pixar pier hitting treat stations at every corner.

We found spots to watch the parade. This was a lot shorter than I had expected. I was just expecting more...

Next we rode the Zephyr.

We watched the very strange world of Color. The Halloween show did not keep any of our attention so we left the show early. Grandmas hip had started hurting so Paca and Grandma left early. We stopped for a photo op and then went to the haunted trail.

We were able to squeeze in a ride on TSMM and Radiator Springs before the party ended.

All in all it was a fun night but DCA isn’t the ideal park for a party. I think I would have enjoyed the party more at Disneyland.

Day 5

The kids slept in but hubs and I were up. We took a stroll to Starbucks and leisurely walked back to the hotel enjoying our little alone time. Unfortunately Darth had fell asleep on the walk back the night before and had a accident in his costume. There was no way I was flying with a urine soaked Vader costume. Every darn washer was in use before and after our coffee break so we took a seat outside the facilities and waited enjoying the sun. About 15 minutes later two women came down so we followed them in. They had clothes in EVERY washer. They must of had a big party or a really long trip. I can’t imagine doing that much laundry on vacation. Anyways we put Darth in the washer and went to the room. Everyone was up so we decided to head down to the pool. It was a little chilly at first but we warmed up quickly.

my girls are always playing this “ I win, you lose,now you get a big fat bruise!” game. I had a notification the laundry was done so I went to switch it over. No luck every dryer was full. At the pool the kids saw some familiar faces so they had to get a picture.

We had lunch and some drinks poolside.

I checked in on the dryers still none available. So what pool day would be complete without Dole Whips. None in my opinion.

We spent the entire day at the pool. We went up to the room about 4:00pm. I stoped by the laundry room and decided to just let Vader air dry. The dryers were still all full. My guess is the two lady’s went to the park and didn’t take their clothes out until their park day was over. As Stephanie Tanner used to say “ How rude!” We have some friends who live nearby. They actually introduced my husband and I. We spent the evening visiting their family and catching up. No pictures but it was so fun!

Day 6
Our last park day . We still had so many items to check off our to do list so this was the day. We decided to rope drop Peter Pan.

Once off we joined the masses waiting to get in to Star Wars Galaxy Edge. We were headed to the Millennium Falcon. We waited about 20 minutes.

We traded jobs about 30 times. In the end Hubs and I were engineers, Twins gunners and my bookends were pilots. We did terrible.

We explored Galaxy’s Edge a little while.

then it was time for our Big Thunder fast pass.

e mobile ordered some beignets and picked them up on our walk across the park.

Next up was Star Tours. I’m not sure if it was the beignet or the motion but I felt so sick after this ride. Sickness aside we are at Disney. I had to suck it up and go on Hyperspace Mountain.

There were no lines at Buzz or Astroorbitor so we took a quick spin on both. Next was the moment handsome had been waiting for all trip! However Darth knew who the rebel was in our group.
