One note about a nighttime show at Animal Kingdom--there is really no reason not to have fireworks, as long as it were a low level, Fantasmic! style show--no IllumiNations for Animal Kingdom. I can assure you that the animals can hear the fireworks at the other parks, and the animals at Animal Kingdom Lodge, so they hear these fireworks every night and are comfortable with them--certainly no more intense than the thunderstorms Orlando has been having. Nothing is keeping Animal Kingdom from having a nighttime show other than budgetting. I hope they do get one in the next 5 years or so, cuz they need one desperately...it would really make this park, as I don't think EVEREST alone will make people think this is a "full day park".

Hard to say. If the weather works out, they might be able to do it in time. We never thought the parade building would be done on time, but it did get finished on time.

They have been warning us though to keep our eyes open, just in case. They haven't ignored the chance that it may be delayed.

Easiest way is to have the Disney operator connect you to Guest Relations at the park where the attraction is. Guest Relations will have the most up to date info on the status of an attraction.

ToT is going through another rehab? We just opened it back up with the new profiles.....

according to main site yeah

The Tower of Terror is set for a lot of rehab work during September. 18th - 21st September will see one side of the Tower closed. 22nd - 26th will see both sides closed, and then 27th September - 17th November will again see one side only closed. Work during this period includes cable replacements, and some new ride control systems.

so its all go - why didnt they consult my busy disney schedule before doing this :)

Well, it is that time. I'm just now leaving for work for the final day of Festival of the Lion King as an outdoor attraction. The 4:45 show will be the last one in this current theater.

If anybody lives in the area, please try to make the 4:45 show. It should be a great one.

I belive that this is by far the best show in Disney. Adding AC and permanent walls will just make it better. I might have to go see that show atleast 3 times a day. So If I ever get hot I could go watch a show. now they need to add some new seats. correct me if im wrong but dont the seats have no backs to them. Adding back would be nice too.

Correct--this refurbishment isn't really long enough to add completely new seats, but in a future refurbishment, that would rock.

Everybody thinks we are Animetronics

See what we put up with Mary Poppins? Even our own cast members don't know.

Well, it's all done. The last show was simply great, ending with a standing ovation (with a little help from the attractions cast members ;) )

As for my job, I'm an animetronic.

Festival of the Lion King

Hey there Daksimba. You are one of the lucky ones. Getting to work at the Parks is to me, a dream job. We're hoping to move back to Fla. in the future and to work for the Company in some capacity. It's the greatest Company in the world. Get to work at a place where dreams come true every day of the year!!!!

Wish us luck!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, I am proud to annouce that Festival of the Lion King has soft opened today for 5 shows!!!!

The theater looks unbelievably great. The curtains now have a "hidden" feel to them, as the same material drapes all the walls now. The AC is nice, for the guest. And the lights and sound is 500x better now. It is like a new show again. Amazing work they did.
