DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Theatre in the Wild very clearly exists in a transitional space. Yes, it may occasionally be lumped in with a land on a park map, but it was never designed to be specific to a “land”. It is simply Animal Kingdom’s indoor performance space. I think some of you are looking way too much into this.

MK New Beak and Barrel - Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge

Looks outstanding. The Barker Bird (or his descendant according to canon) is BACK. This is the kind of park investment we like to see.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Absolutely not. A weird thing to get in a tizzy over….You’re giving know-it-all vibes!

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Everything I mentioned contributed to your classification of it as a "masterpiece" of pavilion design.... It has NOTHING to do with it?? Quite a statement.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

To each their own, but I hear what you're saying and I agree with your second sentence. It was VERY 80's. It would absolutely need something lush and interesting.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

They can start by looking at the original 1982 design of the pavilion. A great use of the space. Murals, a gorgeous fountain, iconography and signage. The 1994 refurb and subsequent adjustments have left the place looking very long in the tooth.

News Diver Lock-Out Chamber Demonstrations Return to The Seas Pavilion at EPCOT July 22

Agreed. The uniformity of the signage goes a LONG way towards making this park feel like a connected experience.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I largely agree, but I would argue that The Seas as a whole is in far worse shape than The Land. The small cosmetic touches have been great. I just think they need to seal the deal and really give it the EPCOT 3.0 treatment that Test Track did. Nemo is easily in the bottom tier of attractions...

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Not that I’m putting any real stock in this, but it’s worth mentioning. Can anyone corroborate and/or shed light if they have some insider knowledge?

MK New Beak and Barrel - Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge

Yeah, yeah, yeah, the drinks look fine, the food looks fine. I'm just happy to see my beloved Pirate Barker Bird fly back to his rightful place in Caribbean Plaza (albeit indoors this time).

MK New Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Updates Coming to Walt Disney World

The parks and lands absolutely do not need everything to be an E. In fact, I get more charm and enjoyment out of C/D attractions. I just think a ride like Buzz should be aesthetically more interesting than the late-90's cardboard mess it is.

MK New Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Updates Coming to Walt Disney World

I personally would say that Buzz is way below the standard of what I expect from that kind of experience. I know what it's going for, but the space could be far better utilized. It just screams value-engineering. Hopefully this refurb will address a lot of the issues. I don't think they will...

MK New Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Updates Coming to Walt Disney World

I want every building in Tomorrowland to have A+ attractions.

MK New Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Updates Coming to Walt Disney World

I'll go so far as to say that this whole ride should be rethemed. It is way past its expiration date and really hasn't aged well at all. Like you said, major tourist trap.

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

I know this isn't a thread about the Riviera, but the talk of it being a thematically successful resort is......objectively not correct. It is a perfectly fine resort. The cafe in the lobby, Topolino's and Primo Piatto are all EXCELLENT. I will also commend the lovely themed library space next...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

They were all over general signage and on the marquees of almost every Future World pavilion. “New” EPCOT began to use them in directional signage but hasn’t updated it at all. Even Journey of Water isn’t used on the new wayfinding signs.

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Apart from the upcoming appearance in the outer ring, where is the Pavilion logo in this attraction? So frustrating that they reintroduced such a beautiful part of the EPCOT design language and then now barely use it??? It should be all over that pavilion.

EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Hot take, but after all this time, if we don’t get Dreamfinder in 4.0…..I don’t want it at all. 😬

EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Weirdly, I feel like we’re getting an Imagination 4.0 announcement this next D23 cycle…they’ve been on a bit of a development push with new experiences, and the inevitable time to make the change is nearing a breaking point. Either this or Spaceship Earth will get its due sooner than later. They...
