    Masks at WDW

This is a trick question. I will not go to Disney World if I have to wear a mask, because that means the virus is still circulating without an effective vaccine. Not because I refuse to wear a mask.

News Park attendance showing significant softness heading into the Fall 2018

Ummmm. if attendance is down, and staffing is reduced to match, where's the problem? At worst, wait times should be about the same.

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

OP wrote: "Or maybe my kids are just terrible. But today I tried to do rider switch with my husband for Splash Mountain. I was told I only had one hour to redeem it. Long story short, I have twins toddlers who had a meltdown after Dad left and I couldn't get them to settle down within the hour...

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

School-aged offspring? They don't have poopocalypses at just the right moment, or need to be nursed Right. This. Minute. Judging parents by your own experiences as to what they should or shouldn't be able to do in an hour is unfair, unnecessary, and so not the point. The point is, how can Disney...

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

What if mom and two kids go with mom's sister? Should mom forgo riding so auntie can ride everything? What if mom and older teenager go with a younger child who's afraid to ride? What if too-little-to-ride has a meltdown when it's time for mom to ride with big-enough-to ride? There are many...

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

Maybe they did a study, and maybe they didn't. Maybe we haven't heard from very many others who had an issue with one hour because it's so new. But I know what can and can't easily be accomplished in an hour with kids in tow, compared to two hours (especially if the wait time + ride time + exit...

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

This is not at all the same kind of issue that the original poster posted about.

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

Exactly my point: "It works well for me, so it should work for you, otherwise you're a bad parent."

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

Yes, many times, and I've witnessed the kinds of events where one hour to get somewhere, with all of the things that can confound one's best planning, occur at just the wrong moment. A little extra time wouldn't have a major effect on the integrity of rider swap. If Disney's goal is to make the...

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

So many people here are making assumptions about family structure. There's more in the world than mom, dad, and two kids spaced 3-4 years apart.

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

Completely reasonable. Just needs to be a little longer than one hour.

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

38, 35, and 30 :-) Grandkids are 10, 7, 4, 2, 2, and T minus 4 months. Plenty of kid experience, and dozens of trips to Disney World.

New Rider Switch Policy is Terrible

You might be justified in accusing a parent of poor planning, but you don't always get to choose the time that works best for you with regard to food, water, potty breaks/diaper changes, etc. If you have more than 2 kids, reality strikes. a 2-hour window would not be unreasonable.

The Hall of Presidents to reopen before Christmas

I'm going out on a limb to say sometime after Jan 1. You read it here first, folks.

The Hall of Presidents to reopen before Christmas

I expect that any misbehavior won't happen inside the Hall, but in the crowds entering and exiting, where discussion will happen, comments will be overheard, and physicality may ensue.

Did I deserve to get yelled at?

I'm in big trouble if joking about breaking and entering is shame-worthy. Back when my kids were pre-teen and teenaged, and they bickered or griped while in Disney World (shocking, I know) I would say, "Cut it out! This is the Happiest G#% D@$%&# Place on Earth!" Which sent them into howls of...

Holding on for dear life on new Soarin

My biggest gripe about Soarin' is that the seats have no back support. They cup your bum, but the back sits away from where the bum-cup is, and you can't lean against it.

When another Guest ruins an experience/attraction for you

That will be my new response to rudeness! "Well aren't YOU the center of attention!" Said with sass.

What's the D23 Epcot Announcement that will affect call centers?

The speculation was that Barack Obama might read at the candlelight processional. He and Michelle Obama are neither politicians nor office holders, but private citizens. I suspect that any Disney policy of not having politicians has more to do with pleasing guests than the ACLU.
