    Poor Carousel Of Progress

For me, CoP represents a lot of what Walt Disney was about, and thus I still love it even if it's not my fav. I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading somewhere that "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" was one of Walt's favorites, and the Sherman brothers wrote it for/about Walt...

Got Pregnant at Disney/Baby Name Suggestions?

Might be a bit of a stretch, but what about after one of the names etched in the windows on Main St. USA? Or after on of the early animators (Ollie, Ward, Milt, etc)?

If you had $200 of free money to spend at WDW...

...what would you spend it on? Home decor? A night out at your favorite WDW restaurant? An excursion like fishing or a backstage tour? 45 Mickey Mouse ice cream bars (probably my first choice..)?

Is your daily life different with a Disney trip planned

I happily go on a diet and up my exercise in anticipation of the trip (the only time I'm ever happy to do so!) The more fit I am, the more Mickey Mouse ice cream bars I can eat guilt-free :) . 24 Days and counting!

    What are your park traditions?

Does crying tears of joy every time I get that first glimpse of the castle from Main Street USA count as a tradition? :) Other than trying to contain my tears, riding the Jungle Cruise at night is a must.

    Music and memories

Usually for me it's "A Dream is Wish Your Heart Makes" and "When You Wish Upon a Star." Lately I've had the Rex Allen version of "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" on repeat. All three songs make me think of Walt Disney the man and just how amazing the whole idea of the Disney parks is...

    A Delight for the nose

Speaking of oranges, I'll never forget when I was in Morocco at the WS and the trees in the courtyard were at their peak blossoming (are they lemon trees? orange trees?) The whole area smelled like citrus. I forever associate the smell of citrus fruits with the WS now. I've been back to the...

    Shipping purchases from WDW

Well now I feel silly - there have been occasions where I have lusted after one (or rather, many) ornaments and not been sure how to get them home safe and sound. And now you have convinced me to ship things back - what a great point about how fun it is to have something to look forward to after...

I seriously did not know that - wow! Thanks so much for the info! And not paying tax is awesome :D

    Going in May

I know, right? And it was the middle of the day, too.

    Shipping purchases from WDW

Apologies if someone has asked this before. Has anyone had experience shipping/mailing items purchased at the World? I know it's possible to call Guest Services and order parks merchandise, but I'd love to maybe ship back some potentially larger items for nostalgic reasons (it means more to me...

    Going in May

We went the first weekend in May last year, and we're going the first weekend in May this year! It's a great time to go - the longest we waited for a ride was 40 minutes, and that was for Toy Story Mania (40 minutes!) The weather is fantastic, too, and as others have mentioned, the Flower &...

Did you introduce your partner to Disney World

That watch is fantastic! Thanks so much for the info, I am definitely going to try to track it down!

Did you introduce your partner to Disney World

That's so frustrating - except for being able to get a replacement! I actually didn't know there were Skagen Disney watches - I am definitely going to have to track them down on our trip in a few weeks! Where did you get yours from?

Did you introduce your partner to Disney World

Alas, no. Just a normal Skagen watch.

Did you introduce your partner to Disney World

I loved hearing your story! Here is a (candid, unposed) picture of my husband enjoying some of his first tastes of Disney food. They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach!

    Embarassing WDW pics of...you!

Not of me, but my parents and I were never fans of Toontown. I told them to "look thrilled" to be there and this was the result.

    WDW Trip Must-Haves

For our next trip, I'm packing a set of three lenses (close up, wide angle, and fish-eye) I got for the iPhone. They're small, portable, and really work. Best of all the lenses eliminate the need (for me, at least) for a second, larger camera in the (very small) bag I carry to the parks.

iTunes best Disney theme park or Disney album on iTunes

I'm a big believer in Spotify - sometimes it has more albums available than iTunes and is free. On Spotify I've found a couple of albums, some of these might be available on iTunes as well? Not sure if you're looking for general Disney tunes or Theme Park music? A Musical Tour: Treasures of...
