    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

I can't believe Disney is changing the ride . This is only the beginning, the same article calling for cancellation of Splash also called for Dumbo, Peter Pan to be removed and Lady and the tramp to be banned . Disney Parks is full of magic and innocence , I am not sure how far this will go ...

First Time in DW Orlando from Overseas, looking for tips !

I guess because there is so much to see and do in world show case , we love all of the shows and atmosphere , but in the UK it is very much like home. The Rose and Crown also has the food we have at home . I am lucky we live right by the New Forest national park , and the beach . We always have...

First Time in DW Orlando from Overseas, looking for tips !

I would definitely recommend skipping pirates of the Caribbean ride to save time ( my favourite ride) It is extremely short compared to DLRP and California. Peter Pan was also identical from when I went compared to DLRP I do love that ride too however if short on time I would skip. I would be...

    Favorite off-site hotel?

The Clarion's shuttle bus is great , there is also a public bus that stops outside the hotel . It stops in the TTC and only costs 2 dollars per person . We used a mixture of these as well as the odd taxi from springs when it was super late at night. You are all going to have such a fab time.

Disney is going to price us out of the Kingdom..

When I was a kid I never went to Disney it was just a trip that would never happen . Now I have been lucky enough to take my family 4 times . However the cost is in insane . I would recommend the Clarion lake Buena Vista or the Hilton . The Hilton you could walk to Disney Springs and it is located directly opposite Saratoga Springs . The clarion was very close to one of the budget ones all star sports \ movies. The hotel shuttle was great and on other days we just...

Does cost affect your enjoyment of your meal?

We have only had the dining plan in DLRP , we didn't worry about we ordered. We have never had the dining plan at WDW because we spend so much time off-site . Because we live in the UK going to places like IHOP is a novelty we don't have anything like it back home. All Disney meals are planned...

Dumbest Thing You've Heard a Guest Say: Florida Edition

When we took our daughter to DLRP she was amazed at the dragon who lived under it in the caves. She was only 4 and was fascinated and called the dragon mummy dragon . Now of course we know it is actually Maleficent, however the nicknames are part of our affectionate memories . EPCOT will always...

    First WDW holiday fall 2019

The first time we went to Disney from the U.K we concentrated on Disney and went to Discovery Cove and SeaWorld. You might find that Epcot end s up being your Favourite park and may decide on more time there . If your wife isn't a fan of big rides then Universal may be a bit intense , even the...

    Discovery Cove

We have been to Discovery cove 2 times now and done the Dolphin swim both times . We said when we next go to Orlando we will do the non dolphin swim option. Whilst the dolphins are magical , the best bit for us is the reef. We have literally spent most of the day snorkeling there . The river is...

Dining/Snacks Suggestions for a first time guest

We loved the citrus swirls from the sunshine terrace in the Magic Kingdom . On our last night we had some dole whips while at the Polynesian resort and watched the fireworks on the beach . Our daughter loves the Candy apples from the Cauldron shop in Disney Springs .

Hilton Lake Buena Vista vs. Hilton Buena Vista Palace

I have stayed at the one that used to be the palace then was renovated into the Hilton . We stayed in the apartments which is across from the main hotel but still on the main grounds. Its renovation has been great . It has a great wind away river , main pool and then a quieter pool. It had a...
