    Buying points Disney then Resale

If you buy your initial points from Disney. (say 100) Then come to find out you want more points can you buy them resale if they are for the same home resort? How does that work? I know you lose perks when you buy resale, but wouldn't you already be getting them from the initial 100. Also...

First time renter tips? Rent from Owner?

Thank you all for the responses! You've helped make my decision easier and I am going with dvcrequest. We are getting married at Disney so saving a few bucks would be fantastic on this trip...but I'm stressed enough. I think if this wasn't my first time renting I'd be more open to an owner. As I...

First time renter tips? Rent from Owner?

We have a trip coming up in May and I want to rent points to make sure I want to buy into DVC. I was planning on going through dvcrequest.com as I am new to all this and he seems to be the name that pops up most. Anyone have any tips or suggestions regarding renting. I am quite nervous as...

    Non-Disney Timeshares?

I am sorry if this is not allowed on this board but I am not sure where else to ask. During the sales pitch for Disney they said they do partner with hotels in Vegas. I'm going to Vegas soon and was considering staying in a timeshare while there. Anyone know of any reputable companies to...

    Stuck with DVC

Thank you everyone for the responses. You have cleared this up for me. I think it's funny whenever you mention selling and the sales pitch they always respond with "you'll never want to sell it, but you can will it". Thanks again.

    Two home resorts.

Thanks for that info...I think you just saved me a headache. I was thinking 100 at one resort 50 at another. Now I'm more open to 100 at each. Depending on price and everything. I'm not buying for at least a year so now I'm going over every angle I think until my head explodes

    Stuck with DVC

So basically once you find a buyer....if Disney feels the price is too low they'll jump on it over said buyer. Which at the end of the day doesn't matter cause you're still selling it to someone. But you can't put them on the market for $500 and get Disney to buy them, correct? The fact that...

    Stuck with DVC

While recently in Orlando we bought a non-disney times share with Westgate. Luckily we wised up before the 10 day cancel policy hit and canceled the next day. (Got back to our DISNEY room and read westgate reviews and was horrified!) So the next day we went on the DVC tour with a terrible tour...

    Two home resorts.

From the sounds of it, it's better to go ahead and split your points. Would you guys that own at two, recommend doing this from the start, or just go with one resort initially?

    Two home resorts.

If you own at two resorts how does the dues work out? Do you have to pay per resort?
