I think the Deluxe Dining Plan is for us next time...

Deluxe worked for us! We just returned from the World a few weeks ago. The Deluxe plan worked perfectly for us, and although we never ate three TS meals a day we used almost all our credits because of the various signature dining and dinner shows we enjoyed. I am totally a planner, and...

    WDW Pin Code info

Numbers or letters? How do you know if you actually get one? Are the general sent out during a specific time of year? I'm planning our trip regardless but I was curious how the PIN's work.

I am trying to figure out if we should book a package or book room/tickets separately. Thoughts?

    4th of July at Disney?

We went over the 4th of July several years ago. There was nothing "special" about it aside from the obligatory "Happy Fourth of July" greetings. It was hot, humid and busy....but we didn't think it was any worse than the other days that trip. I'd say go for it!!

    Upgrading a Free Dining Plan

We upgraded from Regular DDP to Deluxe DDP for our trip next week. Regular was free, we paid $1090 (3 "adults", 1 child) exactly for a 10-day upgrade. For us, several of our dining selections were 2 TS meal credits, so we save a significant amount of money. We'll see how it goes!

    Yachtsman Steakhouse with kids?

We are going to the Yachtsmans for dinner next Tuesday. Out of excitement we were perusing the dining menus at WDW. While looking at the Yachtsman, I didn't see anything "kid-friendly". Now, my children (DS 5 & DD 10), are extremely well behaved and frequent many different types of restaurants...

    Protect Your Children!

Although I have never "lost" my children, I see how it happens. An excited 4 yr old darts over to see Mickey while you scramble to get through the crowd, poof separated,..its that easy. Watching your children is imperative, HOWEVER, tags are are excellent idea too. Obviously don't display it...

    Trading Pins allowed in Carry-On?

We'll be arriving at WDW well before check-in (think 10:30 am) via Southwest (then subsequently Magical Express) I don't want to dig through luggage for the kids trading pin lanyards, so I thought I'd just stick them in my purse or carry-on. My husband pointed out they are technically pins...

    Incident Near DAK on 9/01?

So there are complaints when the police AREN'T perceived as doing anything,...and now complaints BECAUSE they are doing something? That seems silly. I'm in emergency services, and I can tell you I have NEVER seen a police officer refuse a "crime in progress" (for lack of a better term) because...

    Best Dinner Show??

We didn't like Mickeys BYBBQ. I was really disappointed. The food was cold and dried up. The "show" was really just a song and dance for the kids to participate in (which they wouldn't because there were so many people it was more like a mosh pit). And it was under a pavilion outside, on picnic...

which rides too rough for 5 yo

We took our 5 yr old to Six Flags as a "dry run". He did fine. I would definitely check out height requirements because that may negate certain rides anyway. Start small and then progress to the bigger rides.

27 Consecutive years going to Disney and Never Experienced this Before

We never buy the Water Park option until we get there, just in case of weather or closures! Then I'm not disappointed!
