    TV's In Queue Lines Needed

TV's in Ques I would have no problem with TV's in the ques as long as they are showing appropriate content. Example: Kilomanjaro Safari - show animals grazing on the savannah or a "zoologist" telling you about the different animals or an "advertisement" for the safari company. As long as...

Which place can come closest to capturing the feeling of Disney?

Nicely put R W B. Come to think of it, entering Baton Rouge via the river bridge on Friday prior to a game on Saturday does come close to the Disney feeling. Seeing the stadium from the top of the bridge is much like coming home and since I went to school there (many years ago), it kinda...

Which place can come closest to capturing the feeling of Disney?

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING compares to Saturday Night in Baton Rouge! It isn't a Disney warm and fuzzy "coming home" feeling. It is raw adrenaline. Protip 2: If you are in (or near) the student section, wear earplugs.

Do you know people who don't enjoy Disney World?

This describes my neighbor exactly. He has been there twice, both times in July. When he came home he did nothing but whine about the heat, the lines, the cost and on and on and on. He refused to use the fast pass because, and I quote: "there has to be a cost there somewhere that they stick...

    Hard situation for me, personal?

I was once in a situation very simular to yours. DO NOT DO WHAT I DID! I made the entire trip a trail of tears. Thinking to myself at every turn "I remember when we................" BOO HOO, BOO HOO! Go! Enjoy your trip! Do the parks in reverse order or jump around from what has been...

First Time at Universal Sept 16/17 - Any tips?

Great! The resorts won't be do-able (tight budget) but was looking at getting the express passes for my daughter and I for the two days. Would that be a wise move? Mythos and Tchoup Chop are definitely on the to do list!

If in WDW right now, what would I be doing? Haunted Mansion over and over and over!

    Magic...it seems to be slipping...

Rudeness in Parks While we haven't been in the parks nearly as much as many of you here, I haven't ever encountered or observed a rude CM. I have, however, witnessed far too many rude acts by guests. Some of these acts are directed at the CM's and how the CM was able to keep their cool in...

I can't stand the waiting!!! Anyone else less than 30days?

56 days from departure. Working hard on keeping myself calm!!!

Longest wait times you've ever seen?

Wait times WOW. Reading this thread makes me feel even luckier. We have been to WDW 3 times, all in September. In 23 days in the parks, we waited in line a total of twice! Peter Pan for 10 minutes and The Land for 15 minutes (it had been down and they just got it running). Every other ride...

Does anybody else ever get this feeling?

The feeling starts for me the morning of our departure day to go home. It is like "how can you leave here?" I am miserable the entire day and it is at it's worst boarding the plane to leave. I am so glad you can't see the parks on the climb out of Orlando or I might jump out of the plane!

How could Disney Enhance the Bus Ride experience

I have always thought Disney has missed a golden opportunity on their transit system. Why are there not monitors telling guests about event schedules or ride closures or an advertisement about Disney restaurants. Something that would make visitors want to eat at a higher end place rather than a...

    Tom Sawyer Island

TSI has become irrelevant because the book is no longer required reading in the schools as it was when I was young. On our first trip, I had to explain who Tom Sawyer was to my 10 and 8 year old daughters. I am not sure what would improve the experience. Perhaps a sit down restaurant that...

    Wait times in late September/October?

We always go in mid Sept or mid Oct. In the 2 trips in mid Sept, in the 13 total days we were there we waited in line twice! Once for Peter Pan (20 min) and once for The Land (10 min). EVERYTHING else we walked up and got right on. The last trip (2009) was in mid Oct we had waits on...
