I've done this alot to save mileage on my own car, without paying airfare to a difficult or expensive destination. I've never heard of anything like the case of the engine shutting off above. Then again-I've never had someone tell me I couldn't drive it out of state.

I have generally had awful experiences with this airline. US Air and Delta are on my personal "no fly list". I use Southwest, Northwest, and American in that order based on prices an availability. I have had more delays, cancelled flights, and lost bags with US Air than I can count. YMMV, but...

I just think that ESPECIALLY in tough times, experimenting with your brand recognition status is unwise. That old gap logo is iconic. And the Old Navy logo is a spinoff, at least color-wise. Hard to sell me on this being a good idea.
