This is our first trip to Walt Disney this Decemeber and we are flying with US Airways Express. Has Anyone flown with them before. What is the airline like?

US Airways Express is a network of regional carriers all operating under the US Airways Express name. Typically they fly from the smaller airports to larger hub airports.

I see you're from Nova Scotia, so I presume you have a connection, where your first flight will be US Express and then you'll connect to a regular US Airways flight to Orlando.

You'll have to check with the airline, but most of the Express flights operate smaller regional jets (they may still user turbo-props, but I'm not sure). Legroom may be a bit tight on the regional planes, and overhead bin space is usually at a premium. There are a lot of "gate checked" items on the Express flights.

Check out www.seatguru.com to see what it says about your particular planes, and suggestions on the best and worst seats on the plane. It's also been testing a feature where you give the flight number and it'll do the hard work for you in looking up what kind of plane your flight will be on.

I see you're living in Nova Scotia. Do you change planes in a hub? If so the second leg is regular USAirways. The first plane could be a turbo prop or a 40-50 seat regional jet. The second leg is likely to be a larger plane with 150-200 seats. The airline is the same as most legacy carriers as they shoe horn in as many people in coach as possible and charge for any "extras" like snacks. You will get coffee, soft drink or juice. It's not my favorite airline, but it will get you there.

I have generally had awful experiences with this airline. US Air and Delta are on my personal "no fly list". I use Southwest, Northwest, and American in that order based on prices an availability. I have had more delays, cancelled flights, and lost bags with US Air than I can count. YMMV, but carry on your essentials and as mentioned above, be prepared to "gate check" them on your "express" flight.

Thanks! I Think it would be a lot better taking my own stroller then renting one everday at the parks. I just didn't know if i had to pay a fee o gate check the stroller.
