Gap's logo change

That your parents give you? At 15 what kind of work do you do that allows you to afford this?

You're either a celebrity (and since you posted your real name, I know you're not), a drug dealer (Florida's only growth industry), your parents give you an overly inflated allowance, of you're full of it.

Pick one.

While I find this entire thread to be neither edifying nor pleasant, I feel the need to defend the State in which I have lived for the greater percentage of my life. Consequently, I humbly submit a list of growing job opportunities within the Sunshine State:

  • Mosquito control technician.
  • Tourist mugger.
  • Illegal alien snitch.
  • Snowbird heckler.
  • Alligator decoy.
  • I-95 trash detail.
  • Metal detector repairman.
  • Political bail bondsman.
  • Hanging chad counter.

I hope that I have proven one thing; that Florida is the land of opportunity if you just have a little bit of skill and determination. You may all resume the mental game of Stratego that is this thread. :)

It's such a land of opportunity that I had to move to a third world US Colony in the Caribbean to earn a decent wage ;)

Speaking of which, where can I dock if our boat comes to visit that we'd be able to easily get out your way? Thinking of doing so. You can send a PM to let me know if you like.

What size vessel and beam? Our 56' Tiara is docked fulltime at the Club Nautico de San Juan, but we put it up in Puerto Del Rey for maintenance and whatnot. The 27' Pursuit and the 16' Whaler are tied next to the Tiara.

I just think that ESPECIALLY in tough times, experimenting with your brand recognition status is unwise. That old gap logo is iconic. And the Old Navy logo is a spinoff, at least color-wise. Hard to sell me on this being a good idea.

It's a double edged sword. In times of economic uncertainty, if done right, it can set your brand apart from the competition.

If done wrong... well, look at what happened. It's better to not take the risk.
