The good, the bad, the ugly?

Good, The general feeling you get when on property, only gets more nostalgic each visit. Bad, rising prices that are not in keeping with inflation. Ugly, General attraction lines where people snake through budding the line. i.e Haunted Mansion, Pirates...It feels a bit like a cattle drive.

The Charm of WDW's Lost Attractions

I would add Food Rocks, it was a fun corny parody. That being said I would be waiting in-line for World of Motion before anything else! I would also really like another ride on Horizons. I was young the couple times I went on it and only have vague recollection. Just noticed my list is all Epcot

    Dining Plan: Doing the Math

I don't see how it can not be worth it?? For example we are going from Jan 1-7th so 6 days of dining plan. There are 5 of us in the party 2 adults 3 children teens down to a 7 yr old. Cost for the mid range dining plan is $1761. When doing the math of 6 usable days it comes out to 58.70 each...

Why DVC? A few questions on value and what you get for the money?

Some of the DVC studios do handle 5 people. The Poly for instance (what I priced out) does allow 5, the 5th sleeps on a pull down trundle type bed under the TV. And as I think I said in one of your other posts, you will shortly be kicked out of a CBR room anyways, if for nothing other than a...

What attraction do you think is underrated?

I have to agree with People mover and Grand Fiesta tour. I also think Tom Sawyers Island is a great attraction area that gets little attention

Why DVC? A few questions on value and what you get for the money?

Dreamfinder, I am under the impression that tickets are discounted if you buy in bulk during your stay. Don't quote me but I think with a 7 day stay the tickets work out to close to half of what it would cost at the gate per day. I can't get this deal if I'm off property correct? As for rooms...

Why DVC? A few questions on value and what you get for the money?

This is great information, but the major factor that seems to be over looked is the annual service fees. approx $1500 per year and only going up. I just booked Caribbean Beach for 5 ppl 7 days with basic park tickets (5 days) and DDP for Jan 1-7 for $4800. I can't see how it is beneficial to be...

Why DVC? A few questions on value and what you get for the money?

Thanks for the information, We would like to stay at a deluxe resort but with the current rack rates it is very difficult. As for time of year typically it is X-mas or the just after new years and or Mid March. From a value stand point would it not make more sense to be flexible in your dates...

Why DVC? A few questions on value and what you get for the money?

Newbie to all of this, I have a couple questions. We are a family of 5 Children 17 10 and 6.All of which are Disney fanatics. We go to Disney every year for 3-7 night stays depending on the year. My issue is I don't see the value in certain resorts. Typically we stay at a moderate like Caribbean...

Disney World Ride competition, 2 or more person teams!

That's interesting, I just searched their page and it's basically the same concept. I like having to complete each ride or set out a guide line for what rides or attractions need to be completed. If a ride closes at a certain time and reopens it just adds tension. If it completely closes well...

was Skippers Canteen built new or an overlay

I ate there on new years eve for lunch. I have to admit I was not expecting much from it but the food was very good and the service as well. The main hall is a little boring in terms of atmosphere but the two side rooms have nicer details. We worth the visit!

Disney World Ride competition, 2 or more person teams!

I was at WDW over New Years and I had an idea for a fun Disney theme park competition. Think of it a a speed event for Disney aficionados. The basic idea would be for teams to start in a pre determined area. Could be a Disney hotel, market place board walk etc before rope drop at the magic...

Then and Now - WDW Comparison Photos

Great thread, I really don't mind seeing these changes. Yes some of the old school looks are better but that's because it is what we grew up on. I'm sure kids today will look back and say "how could they change Mission Space things were so much better in 2015! Ok maybe MS they won't mind...

    Captain EO at Epcot:

I think it is a decent attraction, but should only run for a limited time. I agree it is very dated but it acts like a history lesson for film making.
