Share your happiest moment at WDW!

Just the other day! My grandson and I riding the cars, went around the curve and the fireworks went off right in front of us. Magic.

    Horse gets tangled with Balloon

I am curious about what kind/how much training the CM's have. They definitely kept cool and hung on. I am sure the horse was adequately trained. Just couldn't get the balloon off his foot. I would have like to see how the rest played out. Kudos to CM's

What Happens To Left Behind Stuff?

Agree. Remember the tainted Tylenol screwball? I wouldn’t trust anything consumable left behind. People are crazy! And some of them might prey on us perfectly normal Disney addicts.

    Teva Tirras?

I always wear my Teva Olowahu flip flops and have never had a problem. They are super comfy and stay on your feet. And they are great if your feet get wet. Athletic shoes got soaked during a rain storm and the Olowahus were my go-to until they dried out.

Where in WDW is your “happy place”?

So my FAVORITE place is the first step into your clean hotel room and that first look around with your suitcase behind you. You have all those experiences just waiting to happen. I love Splash Mountain where all the little homes are. The part of Peter Pan as you fly out the window over London...

Pet Peeve parents who take their kids to the parks in pajamas

I personally don’t like pajamas for day wear. But that’s my own opinion. For me, I wouldn’t want my kid to go to bed wearing Splash Mountain water. Or cheese from nachos. Skip the shower for the night but in my hotel room, we’ll have clean pjs. :)

Taking a break in the day back to the hotel. Pros and Cons

We always take a swim at midday and that cools the kids down and relaxes them enough for a nap. Then head back out late afternoon.

Holding on for dear life on new Soarin

I completely agree with you! The video doesn't scare me at all! It's that durn lift that gets me! And my family always wants to be on the highest level so I leave grip marks in the metal hand holds like I'm a Terminator. Haven't been on FoP so if it doesn't lift I think I'll be fine. :bored:

    Never Been There

Have never ridden Rockin Roller Coaster. Had myself all psyched up for it. Got to the Fast Pass entrance, scanned our bands and in our party of 10 my 15 yr old DD got left off the fast passes. So I handed my band over to her and headed to the unload area. So that's one of the big deals for my...

My Unpopular WDW Opinion - post yours!

So we NEVER waste good park time to watch the fireworks, or any of those other end of the day shows. We ride the rides while all the other suckers are fighting each other for a spot in the street to see them. (I really enjoyed admitting that!)

Hey old timers! Tell us your early WDW memories.

I remember seeing 20,000 Leagues on television. Imagine my dismay when I arrive at The World for the first time and it was closed. :( And that was back when it was still there, just not operational. And I've never been to Disneyland. Just have a desire to see it fueled by the special starring...

Ever get ill because it's just so darn hot?

I grew up and currently live in Texas and have lived with heat and humidity, taking care of animals and working outside. I am used to being out in the heat, though not as much as I used to. On our last trip, I got a terrible headache every time we hit the parks during the day. I decided that was...

    Your favorite relaxing spots.

Before construction we used to sit on the white sand beach at Poly and watch the fireworks. I have a beautiful silhouette of my DD's profile and fireworks etched in my brain.

    AOA Tips/Tricks

Like the others said-take some time to walk around and see all the resort. My favorite section is Nemo but we enjoyed Lion King as well. Go to the Cars section and look at everything there. And have to agree with the stroll over to Pop. I like the food for something different.

    Polynesian or Grand Floridian Honeymoon?

I just love the tropical feel of the Poly. It's still one of my favorite resorts. And I'm one of those that feels the Victorian theme is a little less laid back and more formal at the GF.

What parts of WDW give you the feeling of nostalgia?

Carousel of Progress and old videos of Horizons. Reminds me of how easily we were entertained. And like a set in a stage play, our imagination filled in the gaps. And Peter Pan of course. Because I still would love to be Wendy and fly out my bedroom window!
