Magic Bands to open door without being near?

I don't know about the bands, but CONGRATULATIONS on getting your MD!!!

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

I don't see that much difference between the two, frankly, especially if you remove all the surrounding "artist touches" and account for differences in detail and sharpness of the artwork... Even the viewing angle is different.

How long before you have to get out of the park

We were eating dinner at 50's Prime Time at the Studios once, and strolled out about 2 hours after the park closed...They were ushering us out quickly - no loitering about! All the lights and music were still on, and we had to ride in a van back to the hotel, as the buses had stopped running...I...

    Upcoming/Rumored Projects

I would hardly classify Inside Out as a "Low level movie" - If you wouldn't either, then your point makes no sense. Inside Out was not inflated - It was very well written and made, and well received. Not my favorite Pixar movie, but certainly not a "miss" either.

    Positive Experiences with Guest Services?

I think I can trump all of these...with a special gesture by a very kind guest services employee... My wife recently lost her oldest son - he was only 24, and it was sudden, and a shock. As you might imagine, the whole ordeal was a blur for the both of us, and MANY people were, and still are...

    Under the Sea on fire!?

I never said that small bits of aluminum weren't dangerous....please point out where I did...thanks in advance. On the contrary, I said it can be very flammable, or even explosive. ANYTHING that is flammable and has a large surface area to volume ratio can be explosive...even flour or grain...

    Under the Sea on fire!?

I know aluminum is very flammable and even explosive in some forms. Magnesium is WAY different in that it contains its own oxidizer and cannot be extinguished by denying it oxygen...Cant be smothered either. Edit: Can't be smothered very easily... I have seen it burn under water...Not used in...

    Under the Sea on fire!?

You're thinking of magnesium that can't be put out. Aluminum burns, if in shreaded or powder form, but can be extinguished fairly easily...

Country Bear Jamboree closing for lengthy refurbishment in August

Why is it so hard for everyone to see that "Clever Name" is just trolling you (in a pretty obvious and adolescent manner btw). I reported it, along with voicing my dissappointment that it has been allowed to continue on this site. I don't mind a little fun.....this is a WDW site for goodness...

    JH MuppetVision 3D reopening report

Current 3D theatrical systems use polarized glasses, each lens oriented 90 degrees from the other. The two images can be sent to the screen with one projector running at 144 Hz, refreshing each eye at 72 Hz (theater systems are 144Hz - current home systems use 2 x 60 Hz, which may introduce some...

    JH MuppetVision 3D reopening report

Film grain can be removed in a digital transfer as well. I am not a fan of this, as some other details can be lost at the same time. As I said, the Hall of Presidents video is pristine, and it is a transfer from film. The digital presentation quality is dependent on the quality of the original...

    JH MuppetVision 3D reopening report

Digital does not "Have" to display digital artifacts. Just go see Avatar at a commercial digital cinema. Hall of Presidents digital is pristine. This is a short film, and is repeated over and over - They could easily use uncompressed video on a relatively small less than one terrabyte drive...

Liberty Square Riverboat will not be operating normal guest trips for a while

The ship was built in 1973 - It is FAR newer than the steam train engines that run daily at WDW (built in the 1910's to 20's). Boilers can be rebuilt and recertified - Not cheap, but certainly not "almost impossible".

Couple of snippets - Here now...

I specifically asked if they were going to re-program the simulators, and the CM said they were going to be changed out also. I am sure the cast members are not necessairily up on these kind of specifics, however,so it may still be the same simulators...

Couple of snippets - Here now...

I'm not sure if she meant a complete refurb,or a brief re-work. She said that they had given up for this year, and they would fix it next year, along with the other stuff (don't know if she meant calendar year or Fiscal year). It seems to me that this level of rework could be done in a few weks...
