    Well, they could always re-make 20K. Nothing's stopped them from doing remakes of any other Disney classic in the past. (Plus, Turner Classic Movies just aired it a few weeks ago during their Disney Live-Action Feature month.)

    I seem to remember an episode of TLM cartoon series with Ariel discovering a human inside a very early prototype of a submarine. Can't imagine much research was done on the cartoon series, though...
