wait....its not so bad (to stand in line)

This is weird...I was just starting to put together a post on a similar topic last night. I was trying put a finger on why my trips over the last 5 or so years just don't live up to my memories from childhood into my twenties. Most of my recent trips have come during off peak times where the...

I know it's been said but the pixie dust is going away fast for me.

When I think back to all my visits as a kid and young adult, I try to remember what it was that made it so special. I think it was the level of detail, and the immersion. On my last trip, as I raced around with my fast passes trying to get everything in, I realized how much the FP was taking...

    AKV vs OKW

I appreciate everyones input! This is why I love this board, people so helpful. We're going with AKV-Kidani. I think the combination of the newer pool and the animals is the right choice with the kids, and I've learned its not as bad as I thought transportation wise. So THANKS to everyone...

    AKV vs OKW

Great info from everyone so far... for those who have stayed at AKV, is the Savanah View worth the upgraded price? Would you go for Kidani or Jambo house? Dreamfinder mentioned the new pool at Kidani so that sounds very appealing withe the kids.

    AKV vs OKW

The only reason we ruled out SSR was that a friend had told me it was a bit more adult oriented than the other two. If thats incorrect, I am open to looking into it more deeply.

    AKV vs OKW

Well, its time for my semi-annual "I can't decide where to stay" question. I am renting DVC points for a trip in September. Two studios for two families each with a 5 and 3 year old. We plan on spending most of our time at MK and DHS. We'll go to AK, but probably skip or spend very little...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

Hi everyone... Running my first half marathon in Jan. My wife (who will have tickets to the park) and my dad (who won't) would like to see me run. They were considering getting a Cheer Squad package. I'd rather skip that expense, but if it means they can sleep in a bit and have easy access to a...

    WL vs SSR

We did. We actually tried BLT first. Everything but SSR was booked for the days we needed. :(

    WL vs SSR

WL was 330 a night (maybe less when AP rates come out). Or we we'd be able to secure a Villa through family and we kind of agreed to pay then what works out to 200 a night. A lot of food for thought here. Seems my initial thought for WL purely on ease to MK is still winning out. Plus like i...

    WL vs SSR

We're arriving late on a Tues and leaving Friday afternoon. So not a ton of time. I do want to stay at WL, but another factor is staying at SSR in a DVC unit, is having the mini-kitchen. Might be nice. Ahhh decisions, decisions!

    WL vs SSR

So thanks to everyone for their advice on my upcomming trip with a 2.5 and 4.5 year old. As predicted, BLT is booked. So now I have a decision. SSR or WL. My chief concern is ability to quickly get from MK back to the hotel for naps/pool/lunch, and then back to the park. WL is obviously...

    Could use some advice please

Skipping DHS is starting to make sense. I was thinking about the Beauty and the Beast show (its by far my daughters favorite movie), but meeting Belle at the character breakfast should be enough on that front. Thanks for all the advice everyone!! If I am missing any "must do's" please let...

    Could use some advice please

HUGELY helpful... The park is closing at 7pm on the Thursday I am there, the night I planned to head back in the evening. I guess we can rework, maybe do AK the first day, return to MK that evening, and then 2nd day do MK day and DHS in the evening.

    Could use some advice please

Oh, its killing me not to go, but with the little guy and a short time frame, had to make some sacrifices. Thanks for the heads up on BLT.

    Could use some advice please

Hi everyone. My wife and I are planning on taking our kids for their first trip this October. We will have 2 full days and a third morning (where I was luckily able to get a Cinderalla's Royal Table reservation). Although I have been to WDW many times without the kids, I feel like I should...

    Reservation Question

Forgive me if this has been discussed ad nauseam already, but I am a new user!! My wife and I are visiting for 3 nights in mid-November. After discussing our plans with the WDW agent, she convinced us that the DDP was the way to go. So we booked it. However, we have been unable to get...
