If it fits in with your schedule, I would also suggest watching the parades. Unless you are going during a super-peak time, you can usually find a decent seat for the 3:00 afternoon parade around ten minutes before the parade starts, and the parade only takes about 10-15 minutes to go by...

The glitter/sparkles are what's throwing me off as well. I expected them to do her dress in a felt or velvet-ish material. The meet-and-greet characters should (and usually do) wear something similar to what they wore in the movie, not an adult version of a dress you could buy for your child...
